I liked cloaking. It gave me a nice damage boost and allowed me to move around unmolested.

But just to experiment tonight I tried out a build with dash and mark with abilities to enhance those. I must say, I was rather pleased. My performance seemed to improve, though I don't think I can say that definitively yet.

Best of all I actually got to look at my character as I was playing him this time.

Next up I'm going to take another look at the plasma cannon to see if I misjudged that as well.

What about you? Have you gone back and reevaluated your characters and been surprised?

I did this with Scientist when I dropped the sentry for disguise. Now he's my favorite class. I've never tried a cloak-less scout, but I've seen them used a few times. Can you charge your plasma cannon while throwing a grenade, or does the grenade cancel it out? I can never get a direct hit with the cannon unless the target is stunned or slowed down.

I don't know yet. I'll find out tomorrow. Unless someone beats me to it.

Dash works wonders, then when you get the perk that boosts it... yeah I love it.

Yes you can use everything normally while charging a plasma blast. (Grenades, abilities, etc)

And no, I did not misjudge the plasma cannon... Goodbye again.

    It cancels it.

The trick with splash-effect weapons is to aim for the feet.

My medium range scout doesn't have cloak, mostly because he has a plasma cannon. It's a really good build on medium range maps like Streets.

It's like me using the EMP shotgun with Pinkatron for the first time. I was pleasently suprised at how a change can make it better/different

If you are referring to the plasma charge being discharged when you throw a grenade, I did it today and didn't loose my charge.
