JP93 looks great, just wish they gave him an actual name. The colors on Tyrannocon look terrible, and the Kingdom Megatron isn\'t good enough to buy twice.

The names are pretty much the only thing I hate about this set

I really hope they don't just stop at JP-93 and Tyrannocon Rex.

Here's another one I can think of: Retool Kingdom Dinobot into the Jurassic Park Velociraptor and maybe SS Offroad/N.E.S.T. Bumblebee into JP-18 or JP-23.

The vehicles from the Lost World would be awesome to see as well.

Still wished they made paint differences or remolded parts on Tyrannocon Rex

It looked obvious to me that it wasn't from the beginning just based on the alt mode. Hopefully that rumor can die now.

Huh, I was really lead to think JP would be voyager scale. Being a deluxe isn\'t a problem, but it does make that price more disappointing. $105 for a leader and a deluxe, even with licensing involved, shouldn\'t have made this set more than $90.

I was thinking "Autobot Warden" as a rename for JP93. Homages the (former) brand manager and the role Muldoon had in the movie.

The Megatron mold's torso comes apart with only two screws, so we're likely to see a few replacement 3P chests in the future. I hope.

Total and pure price gouging, that's how. I'm still looking forward to it, but my Lord JP93's assembly looks cheap.

The thing that I like most is that the plastic ties that hold the T-Rex in place are blended into the little scene as the electric fence wires.

The toys themselves are fine. The T-Rex is disappointing I expected more then a new head and dinobot colours but I guess all the money went into JP.

She definitely isn't. She's covered in paint in alt mode, whereas T-Wrecks didn't even have the underbelly paint.

2 licenses (Ford and Jurassic park), a $50 figure and a unique mold deluxe. The last unique mold collab we had (maverick) also had a pretty hefty markup compared to his size class

The extensive alt mode paint applications are really the only place I'm feeling the value here. (And I know extra paint costs $$$). The actual quality of the new molding though...couldn't they have given JP93 normal elbows?

Tyrannocon wasn't ever going to be less than $50, Gigawatt was $30 and JP93 looks to be significantly larger than him. So you're at $80 already. The remaining is probably down to paint apps and the fancy box.

I'm still going to be picking this up, but it looks nice enough in box that I might just leave it that way.

    Here's hoping a 3P gives us:

    • New Rexy robot mode chest
    • New JP93 arms
    • Gap fillers for (at minimum) JP93's thighs
    • Alternate JP93 robot mode head for people like me who plan to pick up a second JP93.

I said it before and I'll say it again:
Paying full price plus another $30 for who the fuck knows what reasons is a drag. Here's hoping the fact that it's still available means it'll get heavily discounted like the X-Man one.

These actually look impressive but this is a pass for me.  It is overpriced for one thing, another thing for me is, Jurassic Park does nothing for be beyond the movies.

^I remember when Target had DOTM deluxe two-packs over the 2011 holiday season for $9.99. Those were the days.

Seems JP93 is a remold of Ectotron.

Capitalism. That’s cool but I’m voting no with my funds.

Edit: Good ol licensing except I’m still voting no.

Love the new headsculpt on the T-Rex, and that paint job is master-class... JP93s headsculpt is a little too on the nose...

Head aside, given the cost of the set, disappointing to see that JP93 is much more of a Deluxe then a voyager, but still looks pretty neat overall.

didn't Ectotron use the CW Hot Spot molds upper arm and leg assemblies? I'd think that'd be scaled way to big to be any kind of remold here, if he shared any parts, I'd have thought it was the ER Datsun Molds upper legs, but these new pix make it look like a totally different assembly.
