Man, you're collecting is WAAAAY bigger than you made it sound to be. Wow. I'm diggin the display cases. Ba da ba ba ba, I'm lovin it
I figured it has been a while, so here are the new and improved collection pics: My little corner of the playroom The Alt baddies... ... and the good guys. The Alts I am saving to open up because I am still sad that the line is over. The complete MIB collection The shelf of heros. ... and the shelf of evil. Cybertron/Energon big boys. Cybertron/Energon not so big boys. All things combiney. The REALLY big boys. The shelf of REALLY evil. Starscream in all his glory. ... and the other guys. I put my daughter in charge of organizing this shelf. Movie mania (jourdo style) The Guardian of DVD's Soundwave and friends G1 Reissues The little guys. Masterpiece Theatre (awaiting Skywarp and Starscream to round out the shelf) Classic (& import-classic) Autobots Classic (& import-classic) Decepticons
I like how you have enough of the small shelves for just a couple few at a time, not all in one huge group per shelf that they all blend together. Good job!
It has been a long time since I've updated things. It is funny looking back at the original pictures and how much things have changed. Anyhoo, onto the 2010/2011 collection. The weather was kind of crappy and I had nothing else on the "to-do" list, so I thought why not hit the toy room and finally snap some pictures. Here is the little part of the house that is all mine! It is a fairly small room, so space is a bit of an issue, but it seems to work. Come on in for the tour! Right through the door is the less robotic and more people wearing spandex stuff. I refuse to open these up, not because I am a MISB collector but I do not want Alternators to ever end. As long as these stay this way, Alternators will go on forever!!!!!! That and I have no more shelf space for Alternators right now. I didn't really have a theme with this shelf, it was kind of the left over guys. Not that I love them any less, but I had to make some decisions on sorting and this is how it ended up. The big guns are on shelf number 2. The DC Trinity leads the way followed up by some of my personal favs. I've always been a big Captain Marvel fan and figure he deserves a place on the League shelf. My bad ass shelf. All things Superman. All things Darkseid and friends. Batman and Robin (and friends... and enemies). The shelf of cute things my kids take and play with. Robot Heroes 1 Robot Heroes 2 jourdo's Custom Corner. I really need to get back into this. Best legend class toy EVER! More on the way...
Revoltech goodness. The closest I will will ever be the G1 Dinobots. Again... leftovers here. I had to put these somewhere. T-U-R-T-L-E Power! I still need to track down Master Splinter for these young guys to continue their ninja training. Moving on over to the working area. I've got a desk that is less than "tidy", so let's just ignore that and look above. I was a little afraid hanging the MP seekers above everything, but so far so good. I'd like to find some smaller shelves to split up the Alternators a bit. It is a little too crowded for my taste, but everything not in a box is up there. Now for the big wall... ... and the close ups: The corner of evil. In all honesty, I should swap this with the opposing corner to balance things... but I didn't realize this until I was done the set up and I figure I would get to it another time. Still waiting for that time. Some of the big boys of the Autobots. Megatron in some of his forms. And now it is time for the Optimi. One of my favorite shelves. I cannot get enough of the Classic Optimus mold. ROTF ain't bad either. Friends forever... wait... that isn't right. Still more to come...
All things combiney. All things combiney and awesome! Just some comic character I've heard is kind of neat-o. Back to the bots. Megatron's Animated Army! The "when it suits their purposes" Decepticons. The Autobot Cybertronians/Elite Guard. And the Earth boys. Seeker Central. Another of my personal favorite shelves. All the unique odds and ends that I have collected over time. Not really a theme shelf, but one of the few empty ones at the moment. I'll get Megs and Soundwave free one of these days. The corner of Powered Awesome. Unicron and friends. Now the Classics section. Rodimus is still awaiting his clothing... but at least he is ready when it gets here. Almost there...
