Josh Keaton is not going to be BB. More likely Jack Darby.

I'm sick of people assuming that Josh Keaton (The Spectacular Spiderman) will be voicing Bumblebee in Transformers: Prime. If anyone has bought the Generations WFC Bumblebee. The Bio clearly states....."Before he was the silent warrior he is known today Bumblebee was a non-stop chatterbox."

Think about it, Bumblebee is the movies is mute.....Since Kurtzman and Orci are Writing Prime and they are likely basing that off from the movies. This is so supported by the Generations Bumblebee's bio. Bumblebee is going "Snake Eyes" and taking a vow of silence.

Now it's very much possible that Jack Darby will be Josh Keaton as i don't see any other charecters he would possibly voice......Since it's seems that the little nerdy kid "Raf" is most likely going to be either voiced by Gina Torres or Markie Post.

I'm sorry if i sound like i'm bursting everyone's bubble but the evidence from the WFC Bumblebee toy and the casting choices seem to make it obvious. Trust me I would of liked Josh Keaton as Bumblebee since Dan Gilvezan (G1 BB) was also once Spiderman. I would of liked that too. :(  Well either way I can't wait till the premiere. :D

Yeah Josh Keaton as BB would've been great, I don't care for the Movie inspired Bee we'll greeting in Prime.

I love movie Bumblebee, but the radio-speak has gotten old. I'm going to remain optimistic and hope that Bumblebee will have a voice in Prime. I'm kind of thinking that you're right though and they won't give him a voice, but I just don't see them being able to use radio-speak or just have Bumblebee be quite for the entire series, so somewhere down the road I would hope they'd give him a voice if he doesn't have one at the start.

Bumblebee can speak in the Prime continuity: his vocal processors are very weak but he's able to slowly report everything he sees to Optimus and even has the second-to-last line in the novel.

I want him to speak. I'm not worried who voices him.

But I don't want him to be in this if he's gonna be another young hot shot like in Animated. As much as I love Animated, I love the fact Movie Bee is an adult, and it was very satisfying to see him throw the Twins out of Petra.

If his personality was more like Beast Machines Cheetor, then I'm all for it. He's positive, as good as a leader as Prime, and can fight, and is mature and intelligent.

So I'm not worried over who voices him. I'm worried over what his personality is like.

If they do keep him silent, then don't have the radio speak. Radio speak is movie Bumblebee's thing. I want prime BB to be his own charatcer with his own thing-he-does.

Then again, WFC BB's bio says he was a non-stop-chatter box. But no, he really wasn't. Animated BB was, but not WFC Bumblebee.

I see them using the radio as a voice method.

I hope they do have him speak. I like the idea of an Adult BB like BM Cheetor.

The writers are in love with the silent Bumblebee. They think it's the cleverest thing since lava lamps, so I don't see them doing away with it.

And you think that's going to happen? To the franchise's freaking mascot? With three or four different radio-talking Bumblebee toys on store shelves right now? Lol no. Bumblebee not speaking with his radio'll be like Pikachu suddenly having a vocabulary: Hasbro simply isn't going to ignore potential synergy.

I kind of hope Hasbro comes up with a name for it. I'll be rather amused if we can make a wiki article for Bumblebee being voiced by WBEE, Bumblebee Ra-di-ooooo~

I'm pretty much expecting Bee to be more or less "mute" in TF: Prime. That just seems to be a personality trait for this variation of the character.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised, if TFP does run as long as Hasbro is shooting for, Bee could end up getting his voice back in a later season.

Now that I could see, but it depends on a lot of factors, not the least of which is finding another marketable niche for the character...or Hasbro not caring about Bee getting his voice back, but that could be a major thing they'd plan for the very last season, so it possibly wouldn't be something we'd enjoy for long. It all depends.

Still, Bay probably won't stick around for a fourth movie, so the direction of Transformers after 2012 could very well prove unpredictable.

Here's the thing, though. In ROTF, Bumblebee had lines in the script. His voice actor even had all of the lines recorded. So, Orci and Kurtzman had already gone ahead and put his voice back (which MADE SENSE since he talked at the end of the first Movie). It was entirely Bay's decision to drop the lines and keep the damn radio-talk gimmick in the movie. With Bay having zero involvement in Prime, and with Orci and Kurtzman having already written Bumblebee as a speaking character, why would they come back and beat the dead horse?

Because Kurtzman and Orci love beating dead horses.......:horse: :deadhorse:

I mean, considering how BB has become the friggin mascot....they'll make him mute. Again must we resort back to the deadhorse icons agains.

That's kind of why I think he will get his voice back at some point in the show. He'll just start out being mute so that the new fans that got brought in by the movies will be able to relate to the character they saw on the big screen.
Honestly, if I were in Hasbro's place, from marketing standpoint, I'd probably do the same thing.

Why hire & pay a voice actor when you could use random free sounds instead :) :)

Clearly I'm the only one who's read Exodus. Bumblebee can talk from time to time. Ratchet repaired his throat after Megatron crushed it. Prowl described Bumblebee as barely being able to talk. When the Autobots left Cybertron on the Ark via the last space bridge, Bumblebee asked Optimus if he knew the way home. I have no doubt Bumblebee will talk in the show.

Did they confirm that they hired a voice actor for BB. I don't think they've did so.

Really......well i never read Exodus. So does this mean BB is really Silent Bob.

No, because it's painful. Bumblebee's report to Optimus about Megatron's poisoning of the core takes a while, and Optimus thanks him for taking the time to do it. It's like the writers of the Exodus/Prime show bible looked at the first movie and recognized Bumblebee should've shown more signs of struggling with his vocal processors rather than being mute until the ending.

And to anyone who objects to Bumblebee's difficulty speaking from a logical viewpoint, the planet in the WFC/Exodus/Prime continuity family is energon deprived, and the Autobots were really lacking in resources so much so that Ratchet's repairing of Omega Supreme so he would be ready to fight Trypticon was a welcome relief. Ratchet's ingenuity can only come go so far.

Maybe we're reading way too far into this. Maybe he's just been hardened by war, and chooses not to talk unless he has too.

Animated Prowl was considered a silent warrior.
