The Riddler Listed as Batman 3 Villain - Screen Rant

Weird choice but we all said the same thing about Heath Ledger.

 

I can see it. Especially after the whole GI Joe thing.

 

I don't know if we can take this news at face value. But him as the Riddler would be great if true.

 

I liked him in Roseanne, hated him in 3rd rock from the sun, but he has done well in his movie career;

Also, I might be in the minority here but I loved Jim Carrey in the role and wished he had taken Jack Nicholson's joker

 

I've never liked the Riddler. He just never seems to work out as a quality villain. His whole shtick only seems to make sense in the context of the sixties tv show.

 

Me and my buddy were talking after seeing how good he was in Inception the other day, and as Nolan likes to use the same people over, who he would be in the next Batflick...

 

I've heard many people suggesting him for the Riddler for a quite a while. I wouldn't mind him getting the role, he's a bit young though. The only thing that concerns me is the Riddler ending up being alot like the Joker, it also doesn't help that JGL looks quite a bit like Heath Ledger

 

My only problem with Riddler is he would seem very much like Joker-lite if he were written in the most obvious way. Unless they play him as his more recent dirty PI / villain role.

Still hoping for Thomas Elliot / Hush, myself. I think they could get a good story out of his history with the Wayne family.

 

I hope the Riddler is portraid like he was in Batman the Animated Series rather than the zany silly Jim Carrey/60s tv show Riddler.

 

Yeah, good luck with that. If nothing else, we've seen Nolan clearly has a tendency for the wacky and campy throw-backs to the Adam West series, and a bit too much if you ask me!

 

 

I think they should go with the hush story....use rutger hauer firing in batman begins as fuel...
And use this kid as the hush....

But anyway The Riddler should be portrayed as a crime boss who's been recruited to stop the batman, they could easily go with that seeing as the opening for that was by TDK's ending.

 

this is SO bizzare I went to see Inception yesterday and called this immediately after, then this rumour broke!

As with some others, i often thought the Riddler was a discount Joker.. but my Batman knowledge is less than extensive, and Nolan may come up with something interesting anyway.

As for Levitt, the rumor had been circulating for a while.. i think.

I hated Levitt in 3rd Rock, but he's totally growing on me and I think him as Riddler would be a very interesting choice. I think he can pull it off. Hey, if Jim Carrey can do it.....

 

I liked how The Riddler was portrayed in The Batman cartoon, where he looked liked Marilyn Manson... The makeup and long black hair... I could see JGL pulling that off.

I also think The Riddler is not getting his fair due here. I do agree that past TV/Movie versions of The Riddler did portray him as sort of a Joker knock-off, a sort of over top, cackling, highly animated, crackin' one-liners...but anyone that reads a Batman comic will tell you just how different the 2 really are when it comes to how they torment Batman... If I was a thug in Gotham City, I'd work for the Riddler before I'd work for the Joker...

And for those that would like to see the Hush story line played out, you have the figure that the Riddler was a major player in that story...

 

I've said it before, I'll say it again. She is perfect to play pre-Batgirl Barbara Gordon.
