    Hopefully it's not a John/James Belushi situation
Or an Alec/Rest of the Baldwins situation.

    Awesome. That is all.

I really hope they find an unknown to play Supes. As much as I like Levi, I hope that part stays a rumor.

I have doubts that WB would give that much responsibility to a novice director. And as much as I like Zachary Levi, he's not Superman. I'd like them to give Brandon Routh another crack at it.

Well, I hope he's nothing like his brother and actually gets who the main character is instead of perpetuating awful misconceptions.

    But one can only hope.

The new Supe movie will be a rush job so don't get your hopes up too high.

if he is then it would be a very good movie. he helps his brother in writing movies and probably helps by side directing.

I agree with giving Brandon Routh another shot. I'd love to see what he'd be like with an action-oriented, decent script.

Then again, I'm a heretic on that score. I actually think Returns was just a good movie marketed wrongly. People expected an X-Men style action flick, and most of the hype stoked that misconception. When people ended up watching a beautifully made, but dialog-heavy, Richard Donner homage they came away feeling ripped off. Not Routh's fault. Not Singer's either, really.

There doesn't have to be another reboot. Just set it two years later, send the kid off to boarding school and discreetly recast Lois Lane with someone of Margot Kidder's calibre. From there you can take the story any way you like without the tedium of retelling the origin yet again.

I don’t really buy it , since of all comic book franchise Superman is a quite a juggernaut and WB would be really hesitant to give it to director with no prior experience .

Of course, if it’s true then I’m betting WB agreed only if Chris babysits the project. Kinda like a second unit director while his Jonah does the grunt work and try to fulfill Chris’s vision for the project.

If only this movie can be as good as the last two Batman movies. Some of the conversational dialogue in those movies is just exquisite.

    Yes, it is. Excellent dialogue.

If there is any casting that I would particularly like to see, it would be Garry Chalk as Perry White. He has the voice, he has the presence and he's a good actor. Every time he starts yelling at the other cop in Freddy Vs. Jason, I see Perry White.
