According to the Stone Ocean Anime event, the release time for the anime would be in December for the Netflix release, and January next year for the TV broadcast. They didn’t say what format but most likely weekly episodes.

Streaming Wars. Amazon an Netflix basically had a bidding war over the next Eva movie and Amazon won. You will see more big anime shows on both as they look for more content

 

Or maybe it's an extension of the deal they already have with Netflix Japan. The entire JoJo series has been on Netflix here for a long, long time. They have the Kishibe Rohan ova as well.

I just hate how US Netflix finally got Part 4 last month and it's still using the TV masters even though the English Dub is an option, it's still the censored/shitty animation.

 

Censored how? You mean Japanese broadcast, or did they cut stuff out for the US release?

 

Japanese broadcast, so all gore is blacked out and it lacks the cleaned up animation for the Blu-rays/official English dub. Part 3 had the Blu-ray put on Netflix, while Crunchyroll had Parts 1 and 2 in Blu-ray and Part 3 in broadcast. AFAIK there's no (legit) streaming platform to watch the Blu-ray version of Part 4 anywhere, you have to buy the physical disks. (which I have but still)

Also I wonder if Part 6 will come to US Netflix at the same time or be delayed for a dub? Also-also, am I crazy or is this the first time Anasui's name has been localized? I know "Weather Forecast" but never heard of "Narcisso Anastasia."

 

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 9, Spinoff Series Announced

Part 9 for the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure manga has been announced.

Part 9 of the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure story will resume after a short break from series creator Hirohiko Araki, and will reportedly be titled "JOJO Lands."

 

The final chapter of Part 08 also got released today, so that story's complete.

 

I'm looking forward to JOJO Lands. But I have zero interest in the spin off. No interest in any Jojo that isn't written by Araki, and I'm really disappointed to see Karasuma wasting his time out of his career drawing characters that aren't his. If it's a one-off or a short story, I guess that's fine. But if it's an ongoing series, that really makes me sad.

 

Definitely excited to see what new ideas he has for Part 9. Jojolion definitely felt like a culmination of and finale to all of JoJo and I really liked the end.

I'm willing to give the Josuke and Hol Horse spinoff a shot. I also question JoJo without Araki (I don't much like Jorge Joestar) but I like Part 4 Josuke enough to at least check it out. The art at least will be amazing, and I certainly never expected those two characters to ever meet so my curiosity is definitely piqued.

Man, JoJo's is busy this year. Part 6 anime, JoJo Land, and the spin-off all around the same time frame.
