Wasn't Tom Green the only person ever to actually show up and accept the award?

Also, John Voight has definitely gone downhill...tell me people, is Bratz worse than Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 (in which Voight also starred)?

The irony here is that none of the Transformers from the movie were nominated. How telling is it that a flesh-and-blood actor is considered worse than characters that were voiced and CG Animated?

Personally, I liked Voight's role in the movie, and I think that a lot of his out of place moments were more from poor editing than his acting.

Rather (in)famously, Halle Berry attended to receive her award for Catwoman. If only more actors had the sense of humour and indeed the balls required to show up...

You can watch her speech here:

It's funny, best line has to be "Thank you Warner Brothers for putting me in a piece of sh*t, godawful movie..."

I'm pretty sure Eddie Murphy's going to sweep. I think he's up for worst actor, worst supporting actress, worst supporting actor, worst couple, and worst screenplay- all for Norbit. And deservedly so.

Well, he deserves it....he's had some great roles over the years, but I just couldn't help but chuckle at his bad acting in Transformers. Even John Turturro, who I normally dig in movies (Jesus FTW!) wasn't that great. But they were directed by Michael Bay. Unless it's an explosion, he's worthless.

[standard disclaimer: I enjoyed the Transformers Movie, I just loathe Bay's terrible directing style.]

The problem with John Voight is that he's stopped being picky about the roles he chooses. Just throw some money at him and he'll do pretty much anything. Good movies like TF, bad movies like Bratz, horribly offensive movies like September Dawn. Toss some cash at him and he'd probably do German scheise porn.

I don't think he was that bad. I think Tuturro's character was getting really bad, especially towards the end, or the blonde with the Aussie accent was far worse.

I would even go so far as proposing they nominate the robots who did and said pretty much nothing.

I guess all that facial detail so "they can emote better...." was wasted....except maybe for Prime.

There were far worst parts in the movie than John Voight.

They should give the Razzie to Jazz, who was much more painful to watch.

Leave Voight alone. He made a hot daughter. That more than makes up for anything bad he's made in movies.

While Voight and some other actors put in some stinkers for Transformers nothing really has a chance of beating live action Eddie Murphay for that award. I mean damn Eddie these days is to the Razzies what Tom Hanks is to the Oscars.

    :lol

So, I take it that's the only Razzie nomination Transformers got, right?

    Not bad.

His 50% credit for Angelina Jolie far outweighs any bad acting roles he's had. Yes, even Super Babies 2.

I'm with you on that! The robot 'acting' was on a par with the cartoon...shocking.

The robot acting (well the Autobots since the 'cons didn't do much) was good. They did emote extremely well, as is evident in the close ups.

    Voight on the other hand...

I'm no fan or defender of Jon Voight, but if anyone should have gotten nominated for TF, it's John Turturro. He licked something awful in this movie, no two ways about it.

Runner-up nominees should be the Australian chick and Hugo Weaving's voice acting... if sounding like a normal guy just having a bad day can even be considered "acting".

The Razzies are bitter people if you ask me.

John Voight wasn't horrible in Transformers. In Bratz, or Baby Geniuses II (truly, he was in that movie?), yeah, those movie sucks and all it took was a TV Spot to judge that. (I really hope Barbie doesn't follow this path...).

    Oh, and Halley Barry rules.

why just single out voight? the whole damn cast was pathetic and they should all get one. in fact, just give the whole movie one too while they're at it.
