I guess I'm essentially collecting Megatrons at this point - rather than what some people want which is to try to accumulate a set of characters in a given scale.

Odd that as I only really do that with enthusiasm with certain characters... It's also kinda odd that there isn't more Bumblebee options too.

I'm no where near as slavish about buying "seekers" & "Coneheads" as I am Megatron and no where near as completist with megatrons in a bigger scale either. (I don't even own a Combiner Wars or Earthrise (grey) Megatron for example). But I have multiple versions of Siege Megatron - I guess I like the look of the little fellas on a shelf. They fit nicely on CD/DVD/Bookcase I find. Though I think one of my shelves of them is actually a spice rack & another is a bathroom shelf & a 3rd is a shoerack - LOL Though it really does look like I am one of Ikeas best customers for shelving otherwise.

 

Well the truth is that my Optimus measures the same as my Megatron jinbao and that is very good, both 12.7 cm. , but hey, waiting for them to do a Soundwave, a Shockwave or even a ratchet and 11 cm Ironhide. All that would be great, but just wait

He will not pair well with Earthrise Optimus, not by a long shot. What you need is Jinbao OSKO Prime...

Correct - the Jinbao OSKO megatron that this thread is about is still only Legends + size - way too small to stand alongside an Earthrise Voyager. If you want an appropriate Megs [that turns into a gun] to pair with ER OP, take a look at ToyWorld Hedgemon.

Skipped the build your self KO of that 1 and went straight to MFT Megs when I started collecting.

 

Sorry to bump this, but I just got this in this morning, and thought I'd share my thoughts.

I am REALLY impressed by this, especially for $25.00, shipped. I know NewAge is to get the credit for the design (and rightfully so) but it seems Jinbao did a really nice job of upscaling it ever so slightly.
Man, this is a really nice figure. I can't imagine it being any smaller, though. Heck no. I'm not alone in wanting these OSKO manufacturers to OS these into Voyager Class territory. A good Megatron should be available in all sizes. lol (Yes, I have the Zeta version of the ToyWorld Hegemon as my current CHUG Megatron, but this thing is amazing...)

That said, I do think we're getting a tad out of hand with all of these different size classes. Legends, Legends Plus, Deluxe (which this is pretty much close to), Voyager, Masterpiece, and now Hasbro's Core Class (which is dwarfed by this thing! lol) While it's nice to have choices (no doubt!) I do wonder how many different size Megatrons, Primes, Soundwaves, etc we actually need.

I also agree that this is a really great desk bot. He's perfect for something to fidget with between reports and calls and on your cubicle lunch break. I'm really impressed with how he turned out and I must say NewAge has some incredible design talent working for them.

Doggone, if CHUG was made like this, I think I'd cry!

 

Does anyone know how well the JinBao upscale fits in the hand? I'm considering getting it, but I only want to if I can actually hold it, otherwise I'd probably settle for an MP36 KO.
