A buddy recently bought the OS GB upgrade kit and asked me to make something that will proportion GB's upper body better with his longer upgrade legs. This torso extension brings the combiner height to 19.75 inches feet to head (note: probably a little less than 19.75 with the stock or upgrade head though, my head is an OS custom job) and has an offset peg to make the upper body sit further back to help with GB's notorious forward leaning tendency. I also made him a replacement waist back plate thing so that the extension can be pulled out without having to disassemble the waist every time, in case he needs to go back to stock individual bot/alt modes. My friend also asked about an ab crunch for this guy, but I told him OS GB is too damn top heavy and floppy for a g*ddamn ab crunch. I cringe at the thought of trying to articulate this chronically untabbing bastard to make him bend at the waist.

Y'know, this really gets it. The longer legs are one thing, but the more I think about it, a longer torso seems to be a key part of getting that "Devastator silhouette". Cool!

Agreed. I'd been thinking about how to extend the upper body for a while now back when I made my original knee kit, but couldn't figure out how to do it without requiring disassembling/unscrewing parts. Finally decided that some of the stock pieces on the dumptruck waist just had to be totally revised in order to make the riser a "plug and play" piece.

I mean, I guess the obvious question is whether there's anyway to add a new section to Long Haul that -doesn't- have to be removed for transformation, but still works with the figure. He's awfully squat as it is. Hmmm.

Personally, I don't care enough about their individual bot modes to be bothered with figuring out that dilemma. lol OS GB is so cheap I just bought 2 sets, one for combiner, one for individual modes. =)

I want one. Will you be able to make it in the matching green though?

I would be interested in one of these as well. Also, your cat doesn't seem to be to intimidated.

I think it's a good try to add to the height of the figure to stand up to the likes of Zeta, but I think it would be much better to add an extension between Long Haul and Hook, increasing the bulk of his chest, rather than giving him a small waist. ALso it would be partially covered by the chest plate, so less obvious.

Sure it would be more complicated cause it will have to manage the connection between the 2 figures, but I think it might be possibile.

Is this available for purchase? If so what is the price and where can I get it from? Great work by the way

It is possible, you should design it up and make it happen. =)

Nice. Will you design/sell a regular-sized version as well?

I would, but I unfortunately don't own the original, so I can't design anything for it.

Yah I thought the same thing the other day and I have started working on it. This way Long Haul continue looking like the abs instead of having two sets of abs. But this was a great attempt and I applaud the work you did for this extension.

Make whatever works for your tastes, that's the beauty of being able to create stuff rather than being stuck whining for someone to make what you want. lol

Hey I wasn't whining. I complimented your work dude. But you're sharing it online so that opens it up for people to be able to make comments about it. Think of it as constructive criticism. Shapeways wants over $50 for that part, that's a lot for a spacer on an inexpensive figure. So for that money, the more "perfect" you can get it, the great number of units you can sell. So listening to the consumer can definitely improve the sales.
