This is what scares me and has been making me hold off on him, although it sounds like it's not something that will be fixed on future releases.

The only part you can superglue is the middle claw at the left knee, it doesnt fall off, but if u dun like it loose, u can superglue this part

Do it one step a time, other wise you will never start it. I transformed him right away and now will never have time to transformed him back to bot mode. The dragon mode is 10X more impressive!

I circled in green the part of mine that fell off while posing. In my original picture you can see where it was glued at the factory, I guess it just came lose on my copy. Could you tell me what type of superglue to use to glue it back on? The kind that I keep on hand did not adhere.

Interesting. The inner calf cover is loose on mine, it fell off right out of the box, I also have a loose 'toe nail'. I do plan to glue both...why not?

Yeah it (literally) takes the shine off a bit. I wouldn't let it stop you geting it though, on balance it's still an amazing figure.

Three pieces on the feet fell off when I transformed him to that "vehicle" mode.

JX should put all these heads-ups in the instruction.
when you do it the first time those purple wheels are so tight, things will fall off during the adjustments.

I think glue should not be used in the next project and look for another type of fastening process. Glue is cheap but the consequences of using it extensively is noticeable after some time...

Using the right glue in the right way can almost work miracles in assembly, though. It's only when you cheap out and don't use enough, use the wrong kind for a purpose, or use it in the wrong place, that things start going sideways. MagicRub's picture makes it look like they glued paint to paint (or even used paint as the "glue"), rather than plastic to plastic, and it's actually the paint that's let go - not the glue.

Personally I'd prefer a solvent-based weld when it comes to plastics, but that wouldn't have helped in that particular joint (nor is it likely it could be used to fix the break).

I received this guy earlier than expected :)  I found the inner thigh piece loose in the box. No prob, I just put the part into place and it holds fine. However, getting the dragon head and tail attached did take some sanding & patience.

The build and paint feel premium quality. All the joints are fairly stiff with tight tolerances. I barely noticed any paint flaws on my copy, which is reassuring considering he's covered in metallic paint. Plastic covers are used to protect the paint during shipping which is a nice professional touch. It took a little preparation to get this guy ready for display, but now I'm just enjoying it's presence in my collection.

Also...the restock price for this figure on TF-Direct has risen from $214.95 to $239.95, so I'm glad that I locked in with the lower price. Either way it's well worth the price, and I'm very happy with my purchase!

Edit: The price just bumped to $247.95

This piece looks absolutely incredible, but I think I'll hold off on it unless it's retooled and repainted into a BM Megatron.

Finally got round to opening mine last night
Initially stunned at how amazing he looks & then gutted to find dragon head arm had snapped clean off in the package, hopefully my retailer can sort it.
That whole arm assembley really could have been better if metal though

No offense, but it looks like you over torqued the joint and it sheared off. If you look at the white stress marks on the joint it took some force for the black plastic to turn white.

Which retailer did you get it from? I preordered mine through ToyDojo so crossing my fingers I don't have issues with mine. Good luck getting a replacement part or even a new figure from the look of that damage!
