He's "Ultra Gear" (as cheetor might say) but I would perhaps have liked transparent tinted wings on him myself.
But I guess they wanted it to be cartoon accurate.

It looks like they are going for more TOY ACCURATE red versus the previous SHOW accurate red with this third release (judging from the pictures). The Tranmetal 2 toy had a much lighter red than in their previous versions. Not sure I will be getting this as I already have 2 reds (ver 1 and 2) and contemplating about their Icy Blue one... that's a lot of shelf space!

Has anyone else's Cold Dragon shipped from ShowZ yet? It's listed in-stock, but I haven't got my shipping notice yet.

K, so I've been working at getting this wing fixed. First step was taking the covers off so I can pull the "rod" out of the wing. Problem is, it's stuuuuck in there. I have a feeling there was like, some glue in there which is why the wing was so goddamn stuck in the first place.

I'm wondering if it would be safe to take a drill to it and drill it out. Is that crazy? Is it a totally dumb idea?

Basically image 1 is the replacement piece. The front part, the flat part with the scales, I have basically broken off in order to get to the rod part, as shown in image 2 and 3. The rod is in there HARD. I've tried freezing it and it is not getting loose. I'm tempted to try to just drill it out. Is that just dumb?

Also, OBVIOUSLY in trying to get the covers off, you can see there is same paint damage. Any reccomendations in terms of a colour I can get to fill that back in?

The back end of the rod on the replacement part, any notches there? (facing away from the photo)
If nothing, I'd say yeah, drill it out. Spin a drill bit, by hand, if you can, or get a pin vise to do it for better control. Start small, like just larger than the inner hole. Then try a larger size. In similar situations, I've usually found that the remains of the rod will eventually come loose before needed to drill them completely out. If it's been glued, probably fine anyhow.
Is the rod secured by a screw from the other side?

    Couple of quick questions

    1. My brain is crap in the morning, so I can't tell. Did you take the scale covers off both sides? I see the rod sticking out further in one pic than the other, is that because you pushed it through between pictures or is that because it's the other side?

    2. If you rotate the wing blades, does the rod rotate with them? Or, alternatively, does the rod rotate with the red "talon" that floats between the wing panels?

    3. I'm out of town at the moment, so I can't check mine until this weekend. Does the the purple "knuckle" (the part that the scales were attached to and connects to the arm of the wing) look like it's two pieces or one? I ask this because I'm trying to determine how it was assembled in the factory, and what parts are connecting to each other under everything.

The rod is secured by a screw on the other side. I would have to look later, as it's downstairs and I'm working, but I'm pretty sure the other side of the rod is flat.

Yeah, scale is off on both sides. Those two pictures were of both sides of it. I have not managed to move the rod a millimeter, despite some pushing pretty damn hard.

The wing blade that is broke, what remains moves completely with the wing beside it, and the rod moves with those two. I'm honestly thinking that's why it broke in the first place, I have a suspicion that a little glue got in when it shouldn't have and stuck those two wing blades together along with the rod. That's just my guess. Those two wings move together, and the rod moves with them.

One scale is it's own piece. The other scale is fully connected to the rod, and that whole piece is one piece. A screw goes into the end of the rod.
