Tyrese and Jewel Duet on Transformers 2 Soundtrack

According to posts on Tyrese and Jewel's twitter accounts (which seem to be really them), the two are working together on a single for the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen soundtrack.

The fans have spoken.. You want another Tyrese song how about a Duet with Jewel for the Transformers 2 soundtrack??? Any thought??

Lots of soundtrack news this morning. Tyrese and Jewel? I agree...both of those tweets sound like a hoax...but time will tell I guess.

 

I'm hoping that's not real... It just doesn't seem like the right fit for the film.

In fact, a score seemed to work a hell of a lot better than a bunch of songs did.

 

I agree. The score was epic win.

Remember, there were an ASS-TON of songs on the Soundtrack that weren't used in the movie. This probably isn't going to actually BE in the film.  

 

The soundtrack is gonna be terrible.

Oh it wouldn't surprise me if they cut it from the film, but it's a tad odd to have on the soundtrack of giant robots bashing the shit out of each other.

Yeah. Somehow... that just doesn't work. Especially if the last movie's 'track is any indication.

Oh and what's this? A friggin' ballad by Tyrese and Jewel! Yay...
And then followed by more anger and emo driven rock that has guitar riffs that try (keyword: try) to melt your face off.

Well with this and the "What I've Done Remix/Rehash/Reslung/Repackaged" aka "New Divide" by LP I will be avoiding the music inspired soundtrack and just wait for the musical score.

Ain't that band collaborating on the score as well? If so, count me out. I just want a damn orchestral score. I wonder how much Hans Zimmer has facepalmed.


Michael Bay really has a hard on for Linkin Park.

Apparently Hans is the one that invited Linkin Park, he produces the score, now if Steve Jablonsky liked to work with 'em is a different story.

 

Oh, yeah, that's right Tyrese Gibson was a Rapper/R&B Singer before he was a major actor right? Not too keen on hearing his vocals (never have been). I wouldn't mind hearing from the likes of Jewel again (she seems to have all but disappeared from the musical-face of the earth), but this news make me think she shall venture back to her 0304 days.

That aside; WTF? A Duet? Possible Jewel!Folk meets R&B? I'm failing to see how the combination could create a mighty Combaticon in the least.

Also: Guys, don't have kittens everytime you see news on Artists for a ROTF Soundtrack. I'm pretty sure we're getting an Individual Score for the movie from Steve Jablonsky. If not, there's always that "Isolated Score" business you can look into once the movie comes out on DVD.
