The Mechtech card inside the package makes me say "No."

EDIT: That and the peeling Hasbro sticker up top.

The Takara one doesn't have a card in the box, and I don't really see any smudges where the Japanese "used to be". I could see this being offered to Target since Hasbro only needs to sell to the retailer to make their money. Selling a toy this large that long after the movie would be Target's problem. That said though, I don't see Target picking this up even if it is a legitimate solicitation.

If I recall correctly the Takara one actually does have a card in the box (mine is packed away in storage so I can't be 100%).

The takara jetwing prime does have the mech tech card. Trust me I live in Japan and bought it on the release date, I know what I'm talking about.

Could this be the Australian Target version? I know that Target in Australia often carry items from Japan.

There is no product code number below the "Ages 5+". I call bullshit.

The Hasbro logo in the upper right corner extends beyond the edge of the packaging.

Why is there a "registered trademark" ®behind "Autobot", but none behind "Optimus Prime"? Or, if Hasbro were to consider the compound term "Jetwing Optimus Prime" the toy's trademarked name, there should be a ™.

Edit: it's the Australian TakaraTomy packaging with Hasbro and Target stickers applied. This is not what a North American Hasbro release would look like.

Nevermore speaks words of wisdom guys - I'd follow his assessment and say this is a hoax, or a bad mock-up (the original link does say it is a mock-up, but it seems unlikely)

Nope, we've got a gallery of the Australian release and the box looks very different:

It's a modified Australian package. Either a really quick mockup (one logo removed, two logos added) or a fake.
