I was about to say "get Godmarz then", until I clicked the link.

Go ahead, this will soon become SOC's Fort Max.

I don't find this one bit interesting. I suppose it's because I didn't grew up with these robots. Transformers are still #1 for me, followed by Macross/Robotech.

I miss Orbots all the time. It's number one on my most wanted DVD list. One of the best animated series from the 80's and it's been all but forgotten.

I'm very tempted by Godmars. I really got into the Soul of Chogokin line, bought three pieces, but then the cost started to settle in and I had to stop. I'm thinking I may suck it up and get Godmars though, because it's robot bliss.

Indeed, it was a great show and it's too bad it hasn't come out on DVD.

I just showed that to a friend of mine and we spent 10 minutes drooling over it, followed by 10 minutes of complaining that all the good mecha toys out of Japan (that aren't Transformers) are so damned expensive. It looks awesome, and for a 6-bot combiner pretty articulated. I'd buy it if I, you know, had that much to burn regularly. (I'd also have a collection over 2000 by now as well)

You can blame Tonka for the demise of the Orbots. Tokyo Movie Shinsha was prepared to do another season, but Tonka sued them for likeness rights to Gobots. Tonka didn't win, but it kept stuff tied up in litigation so long, the second season never happened.

Whoa, I've never seen that before! Yeah, that was my greatest frustration as a kid back in 1984-85...no Orbots toys.
