I'm gonna stir the pot right off the bat here:

He didn't really deny it.

Yeah he really didn't, "someone telling him about it" could be code for Paramount contacting him.

 

I'm going to come right along and totally agree with you. He was asked a question, and totally danced around it.

 

Yeah. All he did was acknowledge the rumors exist, and that DOTM made a billion dollars. That's far from a denial.

... I might have construed that as a denial.

But instead, he said...

"I've got a lot of stuff in front of me, but Michael Bay is a talented man. This last one just made a billion dollars around the world, so people like his films. He's a talented man."

The opposite.

To me, this reads like "I have had zero contact with Bay or any representatives of Paramount so far regarding the Transformers franchise. However, I'd love to be even more insanely rich and famous than I already am, so let's not deny anything and even suck up to the director a little bit and see what happens".

 

Am I the only one who thinks that no one has approached Jason Statham about starring in Transformers 4 and that all of this rumor stuff is an attempt by his agent to get him the role?

 

Jason sure know how to hide,we can assume is "Human in Disguise" not "Robot in Disguise" this time round.

I hope not. The next movies need to tone down the action and violence and focus more on the characters.

 

Oh yeah, he's either interested in the role and hoping someone from Paramount actually comes to him, or he's already being considered and Paramount told him to keep it under wraps. A TF4 minus Bay and Shia but with Statham would be good with me.

 

Yup,maybe because they have not found someone to replace Bay,hence requested Jason to keep his lips tight 1st.
