http://pc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/2006/0202/tmsuk.htm The site's in japanese, but the pictures, and the source of the link suggest it's some sort of new japanese mecha designed for aiding in roadside emergencies. It seemed to lift that car pretty easily, so I'm assuming that's the kind of stuff it was designed for. The videos are scattered throughout the image links farther down the page, but have avi and wmv listed in the link descriptions Also, this is remote controlled it appears, not sentient, but it is a step in the right direction I'd say
I don't think so... But it does have a fugly paint scheme, so there should be a hasbro sticker somewhere on there...
Those Crazy japanese... We need military mehcs people. MILITARY mechs.. Scare the crap out of the enemy with giant killer robots..
All we need now are little trashcan-sized robots that help us fly our fighter planes and we're well on our way TO TEH FUTUREZ!!!!111
Hehe, it's Horyu! Unless this is a new model. But there is certainly a Japanese rescue vehicle / robot named after the character from Gaogaigar.
Agreed. Imagine them expecting a Humvee or a tank and a 30 ft tall super armored mecha walks down the street. That would scare the crap out of anyone..
Yes, the only way to defeat terrorists is to out-terrify them. Just like the best way to stop murders is with the death penalty.
