I'd say it's entirely possible. What's more, I'd even say it's highly likely they'll do Skywarp and Thundercracker. The coneheads are a bit more iffy.
I think its a simple we don't know a of yet, the normal ones as has been said seems likely, the cone heads, well ramjet would seem likely but the others all I can say is i hope so.
I can see them doing Thundercracker and Skywarp, but not the coneheads. I don't see Tak/tom releasing Ramjet even. I hope they don't go making Thundercracker, Dirge and Thrust, but I don't believe FP has any say over what Takara does, so while Hasbro might be stopped from releasing the Seekers at retail, I doubt Takara would be. I hope they won't, but I could see them doing it.
I think its possible - with a different shades from the exclusives but I won't hold my breath waiting for them!
They've made Myclone Ramjet and PVC Ramjet- SOMEONE in Japan is fond of Ramjet. I don't really see how they could improve on the Hasbro version, however.
I don't know about Thundercracker, Dirge, and Thust. I was under the impression they were meant to be just Botcon exclusives and I'm guessing that Hasbro would have a say if they didn't want those released.
I hope they don't so in 10 years we can still have heated debates about how people could never get a full set of classic seekers...
I don't think Hasbro has all that much pull with what Takara releases. If so, do you really think they would've allowed Kiss Play?
That's a good point but it's difficult to say. If I remember correctly, Kiss Play is directed toward an older Japanese crowd and not intended for the States. Different markets and such. I don't know. Is there anything documented about Hasbro's reaction to the Kiss Play line?
Still, it's a really skeevy product line, and I don't think Hasbro would want one of their main franchises associated with something that looks so perverted.
I already own 2 sets of the BotCon 2007 exclusives, so I don't really care what TakTom does in regards to Thundercracker, Dirge & Thrust. However... If for some snowball's chance in Hell they *do* release the complete set of Seekers, I think they have every opportunity to make them even better. If Thundercracker & Skywarp follow the paint scheme template of Starscream, they'll already be better than the Hasbro/BotCon versions. If they release Ramjet with a more G1ish paint scheme as well, remold Dirge's wings with the proper "tips", and manage to use the Ramjet/Dirge wing design for Thrust instead of the way BotCon used the Starscream/Skywarp wing design, it would make all 3 much better and even more show accurate imo. I love BC Thrust, but I still wish his wings were attached to his legs instead of his back, and this is where TakTom could make significant improvement. Even after spending $800 on the 2 BC sets that I have, I'd still re-buy these figures in an instant if they had those changes applied to them. But I'm not holding my breath since it seems very unlikely that the BotCon 3 will be made available to the general public, regardless if it's technically from an overseas manufacturer.
I'd be oh so very happy if they did release all of the seekers...since like, I couldn't go to Botcon/get a Botcon set, etc.
