I saw no need to buy all the Japanese Classics, their paint schemes weren't that drastically different. However, I do have Megs and Astrotrain coming.

I don't have a ton of room for my Classics display and, quite frankly, I think the US Megs looks horrible. Once I get these Japan versions I'm debating if I should just pack away the neon-green Megs and blinding white Astrotrain.

Do you think the more G1 accurate color schemes will affect your Classics displays? Will you have them out side by side or just dispaly a mix?

I never picked up the Hasbro Classics Megatron, but I have the Japanese one coming.

I purchased Starscream as well. I like the more traditional G1 paint scheme better than the Hasbro version. I'll just place the Hasbro Screamer that I own in the background as a random seeker.

I also have Astrotrain pre-ordered. Those are the only three so far that have been changed enough to warrant owning them. The others didn't have that much of a difference to buy again.

I would sooner set fire to my entire collection than have those bootleg-looking things on my shelves, with the exception of astrotrain and prime.

Prime and Starscream have replaced their American counterparts. Megs is still sealed, but waiting to replace Nerfatron. I might sell Hasbro's Prime and Megs, but I'll keep Screamer for customs or something.

But why bother when there's a "real" classics Galvatron coming?

I got my Megs last night and I have Astrotrain coming. I decided as soon as I saw the decos that they would be in addition to the Classics versions.

Those two are different enough to be interesting and worth displaying w/ the Classics versions. Classics Astrotrain has the G1 toy deco, so that is unique and Classics Megs actually looks like what he is supposed to look like, a Nerf gun, so that deco, while not my favorite, is actually accurate for its purposes.

The only Henkei fig I might get and would use to replace the Classics version would be Prime. Those are practically identical, it is just that the Henkei figure looks to be superior.

After having the Japanese Megatron I have to say it is far superior to the original. I love the original but the new one's paint job is just so much better. There are some of these I am not getting (like Mirage for example) but I really think the Starscream, Megatron, and Astrotrain (from what it is supposedly going to be) seem superior. I also got Bumblebee but haven't opened him yet.
