I've been plugging away on my own meager TF toy database website (Transformervault.com) for years and years and I've always wanted to expand into doing photo shoots or toy reviews, but I just never have got around to it. Well I took advantage of the time off from work today and I just put the finishing touches on my very first photo review.

I recently acquired the hard to find Japanese Beast Wars VS-X1 volcano playset from Yahoo! Japan Auctions and upon searching the web I wasn't able to find many photos of the toy minus some stock packaging images. So I brought out the white foam board and 2 halogen lamps and gave a stab at the whole photographing review thing. It isn't terribly deep in review, but I had fun nonetheless putting it together. Enjoy!

Yeah, I hope to be able to do it tomorrow. It'll be a little more in depth since it has a bit more to offer. Once it's complete I'll post a link. Thanks for the positive remarks.

Was a nice lil' review..definitely on something you don't see much on, which I always find refreshing.

First time I saw inside the box. Looks like a great fun :)

This one is much harder to come by than Niagara playset, right?

I'd never heard of that. Very cool, and thanks for sharing.

I think the final line of your review is pretty accurate, though.

I believe so. It seems that a lot of the pre-Beast Wars II toys can be hard to find. I love the packaging myself and my goal is to one day own all of the first run.
