Hi guys...should I buy direct from amazon.jp w/ blu ray/dvd for the Black Leader ROTF optimus prime? It shows 16650 yen + shipping. Or am I better off not taking the risk and ordering from BBTS. Has anybody had it shipped successfully through customs to the states? I thought we cant buy transformers figures directly from amazon.jp. Seems pricey but it looks pretty cool. any advice?

 

It is pretty awesome, however, I had the same problem and couldn't find one for that didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Luckily, I was able to find someone on here who had one, and sold it to me for a reasonable price. Its really cool.

Thus far I have buster prime/jetfire and japan amazon prime. Its ridiculous to me, lol.

 

Keep watching it on Amazon. It just went off sale (yesterday in fact) it was below 5,000 yen. I kept passing on it since I have been spending too much lately. Lots of people have gotten it from there, and you are correct that they won't ship transformers, but this one is considered a DVD which they will ship. If it doesn't go back on sale, you can always pick it up from a secondary retailer. It does look pretty amazing in person.

Yep, when it was on sale you can get it for $90 shipped. As barrelks mentions amazon.jp only ships DVDs to the US but this counts as a $90-$150 DVD with a free Optimus and Legends Bumblebee. To buy from amazon.jp just add it to your cart then go to checkout. At checkout there's a tiny little line at the top left that says "Show me this in English" or some such. Voila.

When you check out it'll let you sign up. It's full price now so it'll cost you over $180 shipped. It was on sale for quite a while, a month I think?

 

I have an extra that I'm pretty sure I didn't sell at Botcon... Have to double-check. It's the DVD version.

In reply to request for pictures. It is the DVD version (not Blu-ray) and comes with the Legends Bumblebee in the little white box. (Apparently I had it priced at $160 at Botcon.)
