I LOVE that set! I always wanted the Donkey Kong from the 4-pack, but already had the other 3 figures in it, and now this has a new jumping Mario! Must track this down tomorrow!
Well another rabbit hole that I just dropped into. I've ordered four 4" figures of Mario, Ice Mario, Luigi, and Fire Luigi. Hopefully down the road Jakks Pacific will maybe...rerelease their Fire Mario and make an articulated Ice Luigi. Yay, for collecting. WOO!!
I saw the dungeon set at Target today. It was pretty cool, but it's only for the 2 inch ones, so it does me no good.
Bowser's castle ooks cool, but too small for my display. Did they say anything about Zelda or Metroid?
...the Godzilla stuff was right there! But no coverage?? I thought from the packaging that playset SAF7 found was in line with the micro stuff Jakks put out previously, not that it was the 2.5" scale. Really happy to see that scale get put to use in this way, I think despite the bigger shelf footprint it's a more appealing direction to go and has a lot of compatibility with prior World of Nintendo releases.
Well for those who will give a damn or not that's I Mario figures came the first three arrived last Friday and Luigi (original) came on Monday, but there still in the prisons until further notice. heh heh heh
Really getting sick of the onslaught of Mario (Marionslaught). There are more Nintendo IPs to work with, Jakks.
I think they said Mario was alwways going to be the bulk of the line or something since it offers the most repaint/retool material, plus it's obviously the most recognized brand out of all of them. I'm not saying I disagree, but that's the reason at least. And hey, we got a friggin' Piranha Plant and Dry Bones action figure; that's pretty awesome. Also, man, I hope Jakks does actual Sonic figures a la WoN.
Pretty sure the lady mentions them at 2:11 (video glosses over them pretty quickly) but doesn't say anything beyond "we have the figures" before showcasing the round "Sonic spinner" thingy.
Oh, I didn't watch it, but that's awesome!! Edit: Oh, I think she's talking about the bendy figures they have on display.
Mario being the main focus isn't the problem, it's that they aren't even doing anything else anymore. When was the last time they did something from Metroid or Zelda?
So, does anyone have a checklist of the 2.5" figures? My son collects them and I would like to know what we're missing. We did find a set of the "Super Mario" 2.5" figures (Not "World of Nintendo") at Walgreens and he got himself a Golden Goomba. Was wondering how rare it was and what set/series/wave it's from.
