Newest 4" Wave (Iggy, Metal Mario, Hammer Bro, Raccoon Mario) is available for preorder at bbts. Arriving in April. Looks like a fun wave to me.
World of Nintendo 4" Figure Series 12 Set of 4

No individual Iggy preorder of course.

Another wave of just Mario? Did they forget about every other property they have? Why not do some Kid Icarus stuff for a change? And then of course, where is the Metroid love? Why does Nintendo hate Metroid so much?

Agreed. Mario is such an over saturated property. It's kind of one of those things I'm amazed is still popular. I liked Mario too as kid but it kind of got....old?

I just wish we could see at least one Zelda/metroid/icarus figure per wave. Just one is fine with me. 10,000 marios is tiresome. I actually thought this line was dead for a while.

Especially when that Mario will pegwarm and nothing new will come in. My Target still has 3 Waluigis that have been sitting on their pegs since I started getting interested in a few of the figures. They have never gotten in anything else in at all. I mean, I believe I got the Mario Figuarts towards the end of 2016. As such, those Waluigis have been sitting there since before then.

Well damn, I thought this line was super dead.

Mario is oversaturated because the kids love him and barring hardware and 2nd party IPs like Pokemon, he is Nintendo's biggest moneymaker. So he gets the most merch.

And that would be fine if the line was called Super Mario Bros and Friends. However, it's called World of Nintendo, which implies it is everything Nintendo, not just Mario.

I played starfox on the SNES classics I have and was able to unlock SF2.I would love an Arwing fighter that you could put on of the basic Starfox figures in or have it come with a removable figure. Amazed we never got a figure of Crystal either.

A reasonably scaled Arwing that would fit the existing figures would be way too big. They could probably do a playset with tiny versions of the crew, but I doubt they will.

I'm fine with Nintendo's obsession with Mario but I wish they could put just ONE non Mario figure per wave. Its tiring. There's so much else from Zelda/ metroid/ icarus that would be awesome to see. Pig Gannon and a Goron are my two biggest wants but I doubt we'll see that happen.

It is all about Mario apparently. BBTS put the latest 2.5" Wave up for Pre-Order:

World of Nintendo 2.50" Limited Articulation Figure Wave 14 Set of 5

    Set Includes
    • Star Power Mario figure
    • 8-Bit Bowser figure
    • 8-Bit Goomba figure
    • Luigi figure
    • Mario figure

I only see 2.5" figures at TRU and the checkout lanes at Walmart. I definitely want the 8-bit ones if I can find them.

I feel like this is a direct slap in the face to the last page or so of this thread. LOL sigh.

I'll get the 8-bit ones but how many Marios and Luigis do we really need? At least do more costumes and stuff. SMH

Heck, I'd take an Eggplant Wizard even just to have something from Kid Icarus. The franchise definitely doesn't get a whole lot of love. Getting only three games in it's entire existence and then regulated to a fighter choice in Smash Bros games just like Ness and Lucas from the Earthbound/Mother games.

...There's something I'd like to see Jakks do in the WoN stuff too. Earthbound.

Am I the only one who collects only the SMB figures? I have no interest in anything else, the Mario games were my favorites growing up (along with Mega Man). That being said, I don't begrudge others from wanting characters from other games, it is a World of Nintendo line and not a Mario line. Certainly Zelda and Metroid have large fanbases. Two Mario figures and two from other franchises in a wave is reasonable, but clearly Jakks feels Mario sells. I have seen non-Mario stuff pegwarm. I'd actually like to see more Donkey Kong Country characters.

So did Target and Walmart stop carrying these figures? They have all disappeared suddenly at every store I go to, even at the one Target that has had 4 Waluigis collect dust.

I haven't seen any at those stores for a while, they must be resetting. I still see some at TRU.

Most of the Targets here have finished their reset and they have no WoN figures left. Not really surprised, Target has only ever made a half hearted attempt to sell these things.
