Today I learned of the passing of one of the greatest actors of all time. First report of the passing of Jack Angel was made by fellow voice actor and G1 alumni Hal Rayle on FB. I'm sure there were many of us that had interactions with him at Botcon and TFCON. Jack would always tell it straight and was super funny. Oh man this one hurts! He was a huge part of G1 with so many memorable roles. Glad I met him at Botcon and TfCon. RIP
After so many years hanging out with that delightful man at so many BotCons. Meeting him and just getting to know the man behind the voice of Omega Supreme and so many other Transformers characters was the best part of meeting him. The best part of BotCon overall. I'm not finding anything other than a couple of rumors. Wikipedia still says he's alive and well as of this moment.

He had so many iconic performances in the G1 series, and in other cartoons. Rest in Peace, Mr. Angel.
Ok, Hal Rayle would probably be in the know. I hope there's a more formal announcement soon, though...I hate seeing death rumors fly around when nothing is 100% confirmed yet.
His panels were always a highlight of the cons he appeared at. He was a smart, sharp, charming, hilarious guest. Hope he's having a good time in raunchy old man heaven.

Aww gosh, very sorry to have heard about the passing of Jack Angel. Had the privilege of meeting him at TFCon in 2013 and had this piece I drew signed. He voiced many of the best Transformers characters I feel G1 had to offer. My deepest condolences to his friends and family.
That's so sad, but 90 is a great run. I remember his beaming face at a few Botcons, what a legendary personality he was.
