For along time, we had nothing but terrible Transformer games to complain about... then we got Transformers: Armada '04 (ps2), Transformers: War For Cybertron & Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron which finally ended the curse. These games aren't perfect... but there very fun & entertaining none the less.

Don't you think it's time that the Joe's (another popular Hasbro property) are shown the same respect?

The two old NES ones were good for their time.

    True.

But don't you think they deserve something alittle more modern & up to date?

Don't forget the GI Joe arcade game Konami made in the 90's. It was pretty awesome.

I wouldn't buy a GI Joe game over Call of Duty or even Rainbow Six. Good luck to Hasbro if they want to throw another frag down the modern warfare genre's blotted pixel hole.

There's a tie-in for the Rise of Cobra movie.

    It's crap.

I seen this thread and thought YES this needs to happen. We finally got a good TF game so now its time to get a really really good GI Joe game. Maybe some where along the lines of the 80's figures of what they look like.

Rise of Cobra was some simple, brainless fun.

Kind of a shout out to games like Ikari Warriors. Keep this in mind when playing it and I guarantee you will have fun.

Then again, if you have no love for retro gaming then you may not find much value in it.

I would love a Call of Duty type of game for ARAH. Or even an RTS like Red Alert.

I don't think we will see that day though, G.I. Joe constantly seems to be struggling to keep it's head above water unfortunately.

As a kid, i'd pretend that P.O.W. Prisoners Of War (arcade & nes) was a G.I.Joe game... and that the player one character was Flint, escaping Cobra Island. Then i was lucky enough to get G.I.Joe (nes) & The Atlantis Factor (nes), which i enjoyed. Almost 20 years later, i downloaded the Konami arcade game & purchased The Rise Of Cobra movie game (360)... and was terribly disappointed. The arcade game (which came out around 1989) was actually more enjoyable than the movie game (which launched in 2009) wtf! Even the (nes) games were better. It just surprises me that a property as popular as this has been shown no luv/ignored by the gaming industries for almost 22 years. How hard could it be to create a Call Of Duty game (with a splash of Syphon Filter & Splinter Cell)?

Dude, just buy something like Medal of Honor or Modern Warfare and pretend the guys shooting and screaming at you are yelling 'COBRA!' and you're pretty much set.

How about GI Joe ala Command and Conquer. So many vehicles and crazy inventions like the weather dominator, it would be a natural fit.

With the accelerator suits they had in the first movie, something based on the arcade game would have fit perfectly. It would have been kind of like Sin and Punishment.

I once had worked on a Doom 3 total conversion to G.I.Joe. Like most other projects I've started, it never got anywhere. I did do some simple retextures tho.
