JUST WAIT UNTIL THE DAY THE TOYS ARE OFFICIALLY AVAILIBLE!!! Man, I am so tired of scalpers making us collectors look bad (I had to wait a few hours near a Wal Mart so I could just get Booster Gold, Blue Beetle and Aquaman)

How is Hasbro evil??! Clearly, the retailers are the ones that puts them out before the release date.

I never understood why the stores put them on the shelves so early, then won't sell it. It does make you think it would piss some people off. I'm sure the average parent parent buying a toy for a kid doesn't know about these dates and just wants a toy for the kid....then again, I'd say well it didn't ring up so let's go....LOL

It's not sad, it's Hasbro's masterful marketing plan. It'll just make the kid want it more and more and make the parents spend more and more once they come out. BRILLIANT!

Imagine how happy the kids will be when they finally get them! (After waiting a whole 3 weeks) The anticipation is often the sweetest part. It'll be Christmas in July! er... June?, May?

I think parents of these "young crushed transfans" probably have more important things to be worried about then not being able to buy a $12.99 toy for their kid, you know such as, paying bills, holding on to a job, making sure they have a roof over there heads, etc. And most probably they will be back at the toy store next week anyway.

Its just a toy which will be released in a couple of days.

    Get over it.

Quoted for truth :)  we've got our ROTF stuff but I'm not offering it up until the date because we've been asked (kindly) not to, Walmart and Co are the ones reponsible for reading the big letters on the box that say and I quote ''Do not display before 15th May 09'' .

It sucks when the big boys do this but they are a law unto themselves so it'll keep happening which is a shame.

I wonder if a child cried loud enough that they couldn't get a toy, what would the store do? ...okay, the grammar was aweful but it is early and I don't feel like re-typing. Would they cave-in or pay the parent money to buy the toy for free (but on the release date) or do nothing?

Probably ask the parents to remove the child and themselves from the store...

I'll be so glad when the street date comes around and the complaints change from finding the figures and not being able to buy them to people not being able to find them at all unless they go pay massive coin to scalpers on ebay.
    :lol
I think I may have to put you on my Christmas card list. :p

Beware though - my cards have glitter.

    Thank you, thank you all.

I'm looking forward to the point when everyone has bought these figures and starts complaining that stores don't have new stock in.

Maybe one of us should go into a Wal-Mart and rearrange all of the RotF toys so that they're facing backwards, or hide them behind the Animated and Universe toys. That way they won't be as bothersome to the parents or cashiers.

You forgot about people posting lame DO NOT WANT photos from 4chan in an attempt to be clever.

Also, I'm willing to bet that half of the 50 or so children the OP's referring to are geeky middle-aged men.

Most of the time its the idiots who stock "no offense" that do this.

Now for most stores if somthing is put on the sheleves before its suppsoed to come out and someone picks it up they HAVE TO allow for the sale of the ITEAM being a movie, game, cd, toy etc etc because its there fault for the mix up and the notion of the shopper is always right is PUT OUT THERE
i have seen multiple ROTF toys out but nonethat i wanted mixed in with the animated toys now if they told me i couldnt purchse the item i would be pissed its the stores F UP

so i dunno its one of those thigns that could go ether way for you

If I was the parent in that situation, I'd use it as an opportunity to teach my child an important lesson about being patient and how you can't always get what you want, when you want it.

And another for the list of overdone topics: Optimus Prime's smokestacks are the wrong length on the Hasbro Masterpiece and the Hasbro TRU reissues.
