I don't know if this is old news or not, but it seems Bay has officially announced that Mudflap and SKids is out for the 3rd movie. Parallel Universe: Bay drops controversial 'racist' robots from 'Transformers' sequel

No not really, I've been in the process of moving/remodeling the new house so I'm waaay behind on this stuff I suppose. Sorry for the old news.

 

Heh... News disproved as a misinformation campaign again by Michael Bay.

Looking back over the past, I don't even want to add up the years, 100% of the words out of Michael Bay's mouth in reference to the TF movies has been a lie. Every single word. To quote Dave from News Radio describing Bill's behavior to Andy, "He lies to you because he thinks it's funny."

 

Yeah, I love how Bay thinks he can outsmart everyone. I don't think he's heard of the World Wide Web. It's like saying "I didn't do it" when there are five security cameras looking right at him while he did it.

Michael Bay said he would serve cake to the Transformers cast. Then he blew it up and said, "Awesome cake!" No one got their cake. THE CAKE IS A LIE.

 

and right before that two chevy sparks sporting Skids and Mudflap paint jobs were spotted on set. I call bullshit on Bay.

 

Bay would never keep the Twins out of his movies. He knows EVERYONE loves them, and we LOVE how much screentime they get.

We all love the Twins - they're our and children's favorite characters!

If the "twins" are vehicles GM wants to sell. The twins will be in the movie.

 

Could just be a play on words....maybe something happens to them, to make them highly intelligent, and thus "not offensive" ....you know, think of Grimlock when he created the Technobots/Computron

I actually found them quite entertaining, and not offensive at all. Prime does say in the first film, that they learned our language from "the world wide web" maybe those two just watched rap/gangsta videos/movies all day long....

I don't see how 2 Chevy Sparks guarantee their return. First off, they were a Beat and a Trax. The cars are in black, but with their color scheme highlights. This could be any number of things... Con's posing as Bots, or just vehicles on set with the intent of starting rumors... I remember the Solstice being on set for the 2nd one and Barricades have been seen heading toward or by sets.... neither of them appeared in the movie.

I would say it's likely, but hardly think it proves Bay's "lying". The twins may even get updated (more mature, less goofy faces.)

 

The Solstice was only ever rumoured to be on set, no pictures ever surfaced of it. They also rumoured that Jazz's VA was on set, which also made absolutely no sense.

Barricade stunt cars were seen approximately 2-3 months before even preliminary shooting took place, and was not anywhere near any footage was being shot. It was just a coincidence that someone snapped the stunt cars being moved near the time ROTF began shooting. They weren't on set.

 

Even if all that's true, this still confirms nothing to me. Until I see them in the movie, I believe Bay might be telling the truth. Lying about Megatron is different than not including characters because of possible "racist" backlash. I would think him,Hasbro and Dreamworks would want to avoid that, so a redesign is obvious by the car choices, and perhaps maturity, facial and/or vocal changes. Think Goldbug. In that sense, the Twins (those guys from part 2) wouldn't be returning.

I'm not saying they aren't, but a new alt mode definitely equals some changes.
