PS2 is where the fun was at, imo. PS4 looks to be the next step.

I remember some people thought that the rusty truck would end up being Grimlock for some crazy reason. :lol

Oh, gosh, yeah! When the Stinger one showed up I was hoping he would end up being Knock Out. But, alas.

PS2 did not have the good Spyro video games on them though. The original Spyro Trilogy where was where it was at.

Don't worry in a few years we will back to set photos, clapper boards and any leaks that can be found once Transformers 4 makes enough money for Paramount to green light Transformers 5.

If AOE is any good then I see no reason to not be excited for TF5

I figured they would have waited to see how the box office opening weekend went before green lighting the film. But with indicators predicting a $100 million opening weekend in the US and hopes of a box office record in China it certainly feels like Paramount would be insane not to go for part 5.

I can definitely see AOE being a success (not necessarily the plot), the only thing that matters is when. Hasbro said 2017 but I can see it being changed to 2016 to restart the 2-year gap again, it's an easier way for the audience not to detach from Transformers, therefore having a far more fortified audience base.

But however, as painful as 3 whole years of waiting may be, it actually allows for much more thinking and planning out for the films. I'm sure if AOE released last year, it wouldn't be as good as it could be. Three year gaps allow the directors and crew to actually have time to work out what they need to work out. Correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Don't even get me started on all the threads back in 2011 like these: "IRONHIDE DIES AND SENTINEL IS A TRAITOR SPOILER SPOILER" or like: "How did you feel when Shockwave died? Oh yeah, SPOILER" :lol

Didn't someone spoil Ironhides death and Sentinels plan in DOTM on here? Just stay clear of the boards until you've seen the movie :)

No you're completely right, I'm just looking this at a financial standpoint. The 3 years for AOE were needed to develop completely new characters and the plot was far more difficult to develop since you know, they killed of most of the main Decepticon characters. I'm sure they don't need as much time this time around since they got most of the characters already designated. But I'm sure the extra year would help the 5th film some way or another.

Ahaha thanks! And exactly. I can't stand waiting 3 whole years for Transformers movies to come out. Hopefully they do go back to the 2 year release.

It's really a tough call on if they will go two year or three years with the release of Transformer 5. I could see them pushing for two years because Paramount has had so much box office success with the franchise. But if some other film has already taken the 4th of July release slot they might push it back to three years to get that premium release slot.

I'm guess the actor signed the almost standard three film deal so being back just comes down to if Bay would be on board for a fifth film and if the writer will stick the series.
