Isabela Moner Just Announced as CinemaCon’s Rising Star!

Isabela Moner is going to receive a HUGE honor!

The Transformers: The Last Knight actress will be honored at the annual CinemaCon Conference in Las Vegas with the Rising Star of the Year Award next week.

With a starring turn in her first big budget action packed feature film, Moner is sure to make her name known to audiences around the world when she stars in this summer’s Transformers: The Last Knight,” Mitch Neuhauser, CinemaCon Managing Director said in a statement.

Isabela will be honored alongside Ansel Elgort, who will receive the Cinemacon Male Star of Tomorrow Award.

Perhaps we should wait until the damned movie is out before we go giving her awards.

 

Correct me if I am wrong, but I take it these awards don't mean much. I mean there seems to be too many movie awards these days.  

 

I feel as though being a female lead in a Bay Transformers film is the only requirement for this award, and that it's rather meaningless.

 

Um... How can she be the rising star of the year when a) it's only March, and b) the movie she's in isn't out yet?
Also: have the awards people SEEN Logan?

I'm looking forward to seeing Isabella in action, I like what I've seen from the trailers (my wife said she's like a young Michelle Rodriguez), so no negative feeling here, just mildly perplexed.

probably gonna be terrible and unrealistic, they should've let dafne keen receive the award since Her acting in logan is by far the best.

 

Can't tell you I don't nit pick movies that's not fun for me that's not how I like to relax at movie theater is nit pick little details you like to work while watch movie good for you I suppose.,

I'm fan series some sequels dragged on in some places but if I'm entertained having good time I will like this sequel

Apparently they don't pay attention to the career trajectory of other young actors in the TF movies. These aren't stepping stones to acting greatness, they're vapid movies full of cliches and sexism. Anyone could act in them.

 

call me a cynic but this award holds little wight and I'd put money on it that this award was simply given as part of an attempted to hype her career and TF5. Made up and given by the same people who stand to make a nice bit of money.

 

It should be called the Well Duh Award. With the marketing machine that goes behind the Transformers movies of course her name will be out there whatever happens with the box office.

Although I'm not sure if being in Transformers is really a blessing for an actor. Last time I checked people weren't exactly ripping the doors off of movie theaters to get in to see movies with Shia LaBeouf or Megan Fox after their Transformers run. I actually feel kind of bad for Isabela Moner at this point because I don't think it's going to open the great roles you'd want if you wanted to be taken seriously as an actor.

 

Honestly it doesnt matter what female actor is in these movies. Ya'll great movie/actor critics are just gonna tear into them anyhow. On another note i know this is a fan site up for basically whatever but alot of the peeps in here really turn this site into shit instead of fun.
Oh i forgot alot of u are great actors ur self with awards to prove it.

 

But if it's a young boy who wants to be respected, that's not "cringey" or "nonsense"?
