I say toy but true is there will be always a better representation of the character. Just don't remember how many G1 Optimus Prime representations I own, how many Megatron, Starscream....and never is enough :D

We always think, in some point, that the best representation was released and then a new and improved version appears. Of course, in some cases the new one is not always better.

I would say my WFC ER Optimus Prime’s robot mode is my ideal Optimus Prime in that mode, or at least close enough. Some criticise the fact his wheels are exposed on his legs, but that sort of thing never really bothered me, as I’d expect transformers to have part of their alt mode bits to be visible. (I do like the way the siege and MP-10 molds hide the leg wheels, though. It’s neat and clever, but not absolutely necessary, as my first definitive Prime was the G1 toy.)

In some ways I even prefer it to my MP-10, although including vehicle mode, extras and trailer MP-10 is better overall.

ER Prime’s vehicle mode does fall short however, with that massive gap in the back and the too small trailer with lacking bits and detail. The cab itself is actually pretty good however, and the gap can be filled somewhat with his folded up rifle, which does look like an engine part, or piece of machinery in that mode. It does work... but not as an ideal G1 truck cab. I did buy an extra 3p add-on which can be inserted to fill out the cab (which means storing the gun elsewhere, but the trailer provides that) so I guess, with the extra piece, the robot/cab section of ER Prime is ideal.

It does rely to some extent on faux parts for transformation though. I find it somewhat acceptable, in that it does it in a clever way and bypasses extra complexity in transformation, but my ideal transformation would utilise no faux parts. The MP-10 transformation isn’t void of faux parts, but they’re minimal. Then again, it’s a far more expensive toy.

That ER trailer though... it does the job I guess, but it’s far from ideal. I’ve considered getting the nonnef upgrade, which will improve the trailer quite a bit, but it will still be too small. MP-10V might be a better option, but the connections don’t match as is, requiring some augmentation that might be beyond me.

A shout out to Siege Optimus Prime too. He isn’t an ideal G1 Optimus Prime, but as an alternate, that homages the original, he works very well. Being in Cybertronian format, he should look a bit different, anyway, but he is still recognisable. His alt mode, if anything, should look even more different - it’s passable as an Earth cab, (electronic stuff in Windows and gatling guns :p  aside) but it’s not a G1 earth cab. I think I find his rifle a better representation of G1’s too. ER’s is an interesting design, but it’s super wide barrel falls short of the G1 look. Siege’s rifle arguably has too many hollow bits, but it’s close enough in proportions.

The bits on Siege’s back makes him fall short of being ideal (in an ideal Optimus Prime, rather than specifically G1 Optimus Prime sense) but he’s a very nice figure.

I guess, in comparing all three of my Optimus Primes, (MP-10, ER and Siege) an ideal would be somewhere in between which makes none individually ideal... but very close.

MP-10 is closest all round, but ER takes it in representation of the robot mode/cab section, with the 3p gap filler. With an MP10V trailer, he would be all round ideal, but that would require a bit of engineering for the trailer to hitch on to the cab which may be beyond my capabilities.

My Universe Cyclonus mold is my ideal figure. I got Universe, Henkei and RTS versions. RTS Cyclonus has Maketoys upgrade kit and got my IDW Cyclonus. Henkei Cyclonus is my main Cyclonus. Universe Cyclonus is my Target Master version that follows Scorponok like the Marvel comics Headmasters comic.
I do have the CW version but he is being repurposed as Macabre.
The Kingdom figure is great and if I did not have the Henkei version I would so get it.

As much sense as Deluxe Junkions make & as much as I like RTS & POTP Wreck-Gar, I wish there was a Scout/Legends/Core Class figure that was his normal brown color scheme instead of the bright orange/yellow one CW gave us. As a figure I like the CW mold, just give me a different color scheme. That's all.

I admit I have bias in the fact that I want all g1 molds/bots remade as weaponizers for maximum custom builds....

But Wreck-Gar and like three Junkions as weaponizers tops the list specifically as that’s kind of how they function.

Yes I know the backdrop is upside down. I didn't notice until I put everyone back and wasn't pulling them back down. Just imagine they are standing in a ship that crashed upside down.

:D  I just usually see the ER mould getting a lot of flak, so I expect to be pelted with tiny stones if I say I thoroughly enjoy it.
