I'd start a petition, but I'd rather give the writers a chance to choose who they want.

 

Whenever he comes back, I wouldn't be suprised if Sideswipe is the bot who comes back with him (since we know James Remar will be voicing someone).

 

Well the two sites that we all don't trust all say that him and Sierra will be paired up.

Well, Ironhide's personality wouldn't have to be similar to Bulkhead's. There's a lot of ways you could do him. One of which, being like Kup. I know there's been a lot of talk about a Prime Ironhide, and I still think the best was described thusly:

-Huge lifted-tire, smoke-stack pickup truck (like the movies)
-Arm cannons (like the movies)
-Red (like G1)
-With the grizzled, really old war horse/battle axe/veteran personality of Kup. Someone who would be older than Optimus. Perhaps The Wreckers' leader.

Can't you just picture him? Scars on his face and body, walking with a slight limp, chewing on a Cy-gar, brandishing those arms cannons and complaining about how 'Jackie and Bulk have gotten soft in his (Ironhide's) absence. An old 'Bot who is still able to kick butt, while muttering about these new age 'Bots and their fancy slick ve-hicle modes.

Oh, one can dream...

That is exactly how I pictured him Cy-Gar and everything! We need that grizzled old war veteran personality in this show. Ratchet is grumpy but he doesn't come off in the way I'd like.

 

Ratchet is grumpy, but in a misanthropic sort of way. Ironhide would be grumpy in an "old soldier who's seen everything and nothing measures up to his expectations"-way.

 

I really hope wheeljack comes back in episode 24 with another bot.

Since someone's gonna be axed by the middle of season two, and characters usually die during finales or openers, I'd assume he'll be showing up to replace the victim.

 

Personally, I kinda hope he is the victim. Wheeljack feels kinda like a generic badass to me.

 

Guys,don't get your hopes up. Hasbro said they don't have any plans to put Ironhide in the show...yet

Yeah, I don't care much for him either. I never got why they made him essentially a slimmed down Bulkhead clone. His inventor persona was much more interesting. Now I'm sorta thinking Bulkhead will be the one to die since his place could just be filled by Wheeljack  

 

The TFP guys have apparently said that he is an inventor/mechanic, we just never got to see it in his short time on the show.

 

Well I meant his incompetent screw-up bumbling experimenter inventor mechanic personality, akin to G1. In this series he's too competent and awesome to be a clumsy inventor. It would be too unnatural to see him sitting down in a shop and blowing himself up building something. That's just my opinion though.

 

I highly doubt a petition would work, as the season’s been written, animation well underway and episodes have been recorded. How many is anyone’s guess, but the second season, I would imagine, is set in stone. You might have better luck petition for something in season three, but even then I think you be better off doing what you suggested, giving the writers to do what they want to do. If I was a writer, given the chance to write about a cartoon I grew up watching, I would ignore all petitions, as I would want to write the story that’s been in MY head for years.

You could take a carbon copy of G1 Iron Hide and you would still have a different character from Bulkhead. Movie Iron Hide and Animated Iron Hide are quite different too. I don’t see the risk of what you speak. Besides, the writers have done an excellent job of giving us variety, so why do you think they’d let us down now?

I for one hope we get an updated G1 Iron Hide to go with our updated Grumpy Smurf-like Ratchet.

Brawn needs to come back to the Transformers series in a large role. I miss this little tough guy. Should he return, I hope he keeps his small stature and great strength, as that what I liked about him.

Was that an Episode III no? I could help but read that line in a Darth Vader voice.

I hope so but i think he'll appear in the begining of Season 2.
