    Its almost April 2018.

I've been waiting an eternity for one of my favorite G1 characters to be done in the Masterpiece Style. I will agree with many that toyworld Devi is the closest thing we've ever had. For me it's still not close enough. However I thought to compromise when the price dropped.

That never seemed to happen. I've been lurking waiting for it to go on sale but it seems that they're milking the mold and continue to produce and sell it at a high price now in different color variations as well. I'm wondering if companies have them under lock and key waiting for the best time but that time is fading IMO, I think it's best to find complete G1 ASAP.

I'm curious at this point in time in our collecting world how many of us are making toyworld Devi their final MP Devastator and how many of us would get another or want different one for their definitive piece?

The many small issues with v1 are what kept me from TW Devastator. When the improved v2 set came out I was close to buying it but I didn't want to spend that much money at once. So I decided that CW Devy is a great stand-in until TT or FT release their MP version. In 2025 or so...

I really dig the TW Devi. Is it absolutely PERFECT, nope. But it would take a massive jump in quality all around to get me to change up and reinvest at this point.

If you had asked me a year ago if I'd be tired of Devastator, I'd say you were nuts.

Love my TW but really hope FT, DX9 or XTB \ KFC or WJ does their own. Will then pick one set for bot and one for combined. Main thing is it's the same scale as TW.

The TW one...i can hear the Constructicon's theme from the cartoon in my head when I mess with it, it's great.

I'm my opinion the only things TW Devy has going for it are size (which I actually don't care about) and vehicle modes that are pretty toy accurate. The robot modes aren't cartoon accurate enough for me, the engineering isn't particularly fun, and the combined mode is to skinny in the middle even with the lat fillers and his arms hang down too low. Despite being more stylized I actually think Gravity Builder is a better set.

I have TW's v1 with the add-ons. I like TW's and I would buy a FT Devy on release day. TW has its unique style, I think FT could give us an excellent Devastator. Without some of the blocky goodness lol Since Devy's appearance was out there on the show.

As long as companies continue to make gestalts a comparative size to CW/UW Devy, he does it for me!

Toyworld is pretty damn good, I am in for FT making one for sweet individual bots 100%.

I've gone back and forth on it a while now. There are a lot of little things that I don't like on the TW one, but everytime I see pics, I think "damn that looks good". Trying to hold out to see what FT does, in the mean time CW Devy is good enough.

How about an option “I have another version that is my MP Devastator, and I’m happy with it”?

I never liked Toyworlds Devy… too skinny, far too much partsforming, the individual alt. modes were far too simplistic, and for the most part the ‘bot modes looked really blocky.

I did like the height their ‘bot modes had, though, and I would buy their Bonecrusher if I could find it now, as his ‘bot mode is really good… even though his alt. mode looks like it’s made out of Duplo.

    toyworld Devastator is too big.
Would buy a Devastator the same size as CW Superion made up of well articulated G1 toy accurate deluxe sized Constructicons.

I'm happy with TW Constructor as Devastator, since it's the right size for MP and is G1 enough for me, but I am open to seeing how Fans Toys does with the individual Constructicons' botmodes. I wouldn't mind having another set in botmode.

Constructor is big... That's the only compliment I could think of...

And the working treads on Bonecrusher and Scavenger!
