I'm just curious. The only people I talked to at Transfandom are either MIA, or joined us (Wreckgar, Chaos Muffin). Their last news update was from June 28th (we're now in August), and I haven't seen anything posted by their Admins in months. Can we officially declare Transfandom dead, the first "big" casuality of the "fan community"?
I'm pretty sure we can; I tried to check out their forums last night after visiting their home page for the first time in months, and after waiting almost 5 minutes (on a DSL connection, you know *something* ain't right) I decided " f@#$ it" and continued on my merry way down the Internet Road.
I came here and haven't looked back at Transfandom, almost forgot they still existed somewhat, but I guess we could say they are a dead site.
I guess people got tired of the asine "NO PICS OF PROTOTYPES BECAUSE HASBRO ONCE SAID SO THREE YEARS AGO AND THEN NEVER SPOKE ABOUT IT AGAIN" rule and decided to get their news from elsewhere.
I'm on there right now at 5:15AM EST, and at the bottom of the forum it reads: 4 user(s) active in the past 15 minutes Active Users 4 guests, 0 members 0 anonymous members
[Alan Arkin voice] No seriously people, tell us what you REALLY think of Transfandom.com. [/Alan Arkin voice] -LB hates it when they repress.....
That, coupled with a staff that is quick to lock any threads that dare report news from sources which don't have Hasbro's Official Seal Of Approvalâ„¢, but doesn't do much otherwise these days...
