Long Story Short....It is not a KO.

The Vendor got burned with a small batch of MP12T that were sold out the back door. Everything was made at the factory (toy, box, tray) except for the instructions and cards. Chimungmung is refunding $30 to anyone that got one, which is a good deal to me because its less that the loose ones on ebay, which is what this is with a box and tray thrown in.

Left Side is the legit, KO was obviously faded

The Left one is Legit, KO card missing lambo logo, it was fuzzy and contrast pumped up. But looking this photo is basically no help.for colors etc. Just the logo.

Legit- printing rosette pattern easily seen

Copied, rosette is washed out and darker

Legit on the left, copy on the right, no white box around the top text

I never opened up the instruction booklet bag but the tray was taped together.....I'd be very surprised if it had been KO'd yet tho...I think you just got a shitty version.

Chimungmung. I have transformed the toy and there is definitely something up. The head of the thing is mis-assembled and the molding doesn't look very good. The head spins around whenever you move the toy its so loose. This thing was either cobbled together from rejected parts or a KO, I am leaning to cobbled together. The joints are super loose, the tolerances are terrible, the shit paint, the misassembled head.....

It's probably one assembled from factory rejects stolen by employees who then copied the artwork etc. Apparently it happened a lot with Red Alert for some reason.

That seems like the most likely scenario.

Hmmmm the incorrectly folded instructions and differences in print quality make it seem to be one of the Hong Kong and China imports. These are the ones with the big white sticker on the back. However, the differences in the toy are very worrying. A quick look at Ebay's listings of loose Tigertracks, Sideswipe and Red Alert will show how prolific the factory rejects theiving is.

No large white sticker, but I did notice the box is missing the Lamborghini Hologram sticker on the bottom.

I emailed tony (Chimungmung.com) and let him know about the concerns and see what he has to say/can tell us. I sent him a link to this thread.

I sent him an email too. I am sure he'll take care of it because mine is screwed. I'll take a refund or replacement. It seems to be a semi-legit version. Not sure there is a lot he can do about all of them. How do you prove they are not legit? Some stuff is suspect but thats about it. It could have been poorly assembled after a late night of drinking, who knows.

well no hologram is kind of fishy

the hologram is there to prevent counterfeiting due to it being very hard to replocate

thats why some pharmaceuticals have holograms on the bottles to show they are legit

    Ebay:
looks like on the bio card the one you think is a KO is missing the lambo logo underneath the autobot logo on the chest.

That sucks, I'm sorry you guys got hosed. I know it's gotta be disappointing especially when looking forward to receiving a MP. Luckily Tony's a good guy and if it is some sort of KO I'm pretty sure he didn't know as he's always been upfront with labeling KO's exactly for what they are in the past. He's also been in my experience very customer service oriented and will probably do what he can to fix the problem as quickly as possible for both of you.

Good luck and keep us updated.

Same as Blue Meanie. No stickers and rather poorly fit together piece. No hologram sticker either. Color me disappointed.

That's amazing. So whatever factory is making the lambo molds is making knock-offs on the side and passing them off as real. The lack of lamborghini hologram and the missing lamborghini logo in the artwork says knock-off. When the messed up Red ALerts appeared I just chalked it up to the quality department selling off some throwaways but this.

I bet the guy at chingmungmung had no idea and he's going to be a lot more pissed off than you guys.

So how does the figure itself look??

Decent paint, but my car hood has a few paint chips. More pissed about the side car panels not lining up. Just screams ko. At this point, too bummed to even bother transforming him.
