So, sorry for the vibes of the headline, but after reading the first couple of issues of the new IDW and feeling (very) underwhelmed, I stopped following this continuity and basically the entire franchise.

Still, is/was there something actually good out there? Galaxies? Escape? Beast Wars? My Little Pony? :D

Well, Escape would be pointless as its just a continuation of the main book.

Beast Wars...? I like Josh a lot. He's one of us, and a big fan... but the book is glacially paced and just feels rather pointless. His art seems like a mismatched fit for the subject matter (but his color palette is absolutely incredible)... he should be working on a hyper kinetic book with lotsa action.

The MLP crossover is lighthearted and fun, like you'd expect a crossover with MLP to be. I'd say give that a shot, especially if the tone of the ongoing bores you to tears.

Nothing that's worth my money so far. I'll wait to check it out when it's all on Comixology Unlimited in a couple of years.

It’s good thing that we have the ability to read comic scans online.

Even disregarding my bias, I think MLP/Transformers has been some of the stronger stuff I’ve read for both franchises within recent memory

TF84s about the only thing I've actually enjoyed in the last decade or so from IDW, and even that was just "ok" (I loved the 0 issue, the mini series was solid.)

Terminator/Transformers was also right around "ok"

I'd really love the license to go anywhere else at this point.

Right there with you @levyshahar. I'm holding out hope that this Grimlock mini is good.

I've seen people say Galaxies is all right? I haven't checked it out. I'm really not a fan of Livio's art. Though wikipedia tells me he only draws the first arc.

Actually, TF-Wiki informs me that issues 5 and 6 are drawn by Alex Milne and written by Kate Leth (whose Patsy Walker: Hellcat I remember enjoying). So I really ought to check out those at least.

Just writing notes for myself. Things that sound interesting at the moment:
    Grimlock series
    Shattered glass
    Wreckers

I've been reading idw2 through the volumes and it's pretty good, keep in mind there's 3 of them so if you buy volume 3 you're basically caught up.

I assume so too, but might be good enough on its own even without the context of the rest of the continuity. Let’s at least hope so

The covers and art they released gives me zero hope of it being something I want to read, which is a shame because seeing Thunderclash, Stepper and Hot Shot as a team seems pretty rad.
