This is true. Many times women have been mistaken for guys due to the fact that many times one can't tell by the user name. Someone a while back had a snappy comeback to a post i had put up, and someone else commented "Oh no he di'int!" The HE was in fact a SHE. At the time, I didn't know as well but when I found out, I blushed even more.  

 

Yep, as has been abundantly shown in this thread, there are actually a good number of female fans. They're on these boards for sure, and I can say from experience, the number of them at BotCon has increased massively over the last dozen years.

Despite what you think, you probably have seen them post quite often. After all, most of them don't have "I'm a woman!" screaming at you from any part of their post information, avatar, or signature, and you've simply assumed the poster was male, since you had no knowledge otherwise.

 

No, no females at all. Absolutely none. You all need to stop making sh*t up.

 

their are a fair few on these boards I've noticed I'd say the ratio is about 25/1 not bad all things given

Also check places like live journal if you want a more female based forum... But be warned its a very different world in the female fandom. I didn't know how different till one of my freinds who hangs around LJ pointed all this stuff out and then also on DA... but be warned what you will see and read might shock you

I met a few girls at BotCon. They exist. There just aren't as many because Transformers have been marketed towards boys since day one.

 

Uhhh....Bot Con had/always has lots of female fans and they weren't there with their boyfirends/husbands either.

So...uhhh....yeah!

 

Women + Transformer collectors = HOT

 

I have seen many who make this statement correct. You also know that if they collect toys as adults, they must be at least cool enough/weird enough to party.

I am one of them.
I'm sure there are more on here than just those in the group, though.
Just because we're girls, it doesn't mean we like 'girly' things. Some of us prefer giant alien robots that smash each other up and turn into cool vehicles and machines.

We can like cars too, you know

Pink, fluffy or cute things make me want to burn stuff 99.9% of the time. And do not get me started on the gender segregation in the Waterstones catalogue, ngggh.

I would consider my girlfriend a TF fan. A casual one, but a fan nonetheless. She has a small collection of her own and watches all the cartoons and movies.
