.....to what has happened to or the whereabouts of

    The Wreckers,Dino & Sideswipe.

or in typical Bay fashion are we just to assume they are dead? I presume from their absence in the trailers that they aren't in there.

I haven't seen the movie yet and wont til next week but spoilers don't effect me in the slightest.

    cheers lads!

They're either dead or they got off planet as the autobots seem to confirm they're the only ones still on Earth.

I'd say that Dino, Topspin and Roadbuster are dead, victims of KSI.

Most likely dead, but I like to think that maybe they somehow managed to get off world. I'm kinda glad they weren't shown cause if they had been, more than likely death would have been certain...and I really don't think I could have stood to see them bite it...

A bigger question really is where Hound Drift and Crosshairs came from.

They clearly weren't with the Autobots in the first trilogy, and you wouldn't think any more Autobots would be coming to earth once it turned hostile to them.

Yep. Onscreen in a DOUBLE meaning.

Onscreen in the movie, but also onscreen on a video showing Leadfoot die within the movie.

If Ratchet's any indication they get chased out of cover by the human soldiers and ganked by Lockdown. And while the Wreckers might be nasty enough to actually attack the humans back, they'd still be no match for Lockdown, who's an Optimus level combatant.

I like to think that the Bots, whose cards were not seen or didn't have an X, made it off the planet and away from crappy fleshies. My guess is that, if Bay stays, he wisely left himself an opening to bring back Bots for the battle with the Creators/Unicron. If he doesn't return, pretty much all Bots and Cons can be brought back via reboot. So, there's that. Like I said, I did not see Swipe with a red X. Maybe the top card was suppose to be Swipe ,since Hide died way before the hit squads were even a twinkle in Attinger's warped mind. Maybe Hasbro told Bay Swipe was not to be killed off (he is a pretty popular Bot onscreen and in the all important toy market), or maybe Bay wanted to leave himself a few popular Bots to bring back. Hell he even left a plausible way to resurrect Ratchet.

With what he's said, I'm really not expecting Bay back for T5 (hopefully Kruger will follow suit). If Paramount gets another known director, he may just scrap Bay's version with a complete reboot, showing his own vision of the franchise. So, I'm waiting to see what transpires in the next couple of months before making predictions about T5.

I'm guessing the wreckers weren't full blown wrecker warriors, but they were probably wrecker engineers with a little combat experience. That would explain why leadfoot was able to be killed

I think they were warriors based on the fact they had guns galore on their vehicle modes.

I really thought Sideswipe would be too tough and mean for humans to kill.

Maybe that's why they hired Lockdown.

It's still stupid that new Autobots are on a planet that hates and fears them. I'd like to see a bot/con team up soon...I mean, there are definetely other bots and cons not on earth

Sideswipe would not have hesitated to slice and dice the hit squads. He doesn't have the moral bearings that Prime carries. I could see him (and maybe Dino) shish-ka-bobbing the decepti-humans.

Remember, this wasnt what the world wanted. Attinger hired mercenaries and an alien bounty hunter to kill the bots because the government didnt want them dead. Attinger played off his work as hunting for "decepticons"
