Given how loads of different creative teams have worked for Idw it's output varies hugely in tone, quality with some being amateurish whilst others are inspired pieces of work that really use the added creative freedom that it being a comic affords it in the best way possible.

Even if they tastefully picked some of IDW's best stuff adapting great comics certainly comes with it own problems. If you look at all the various adaptations of highly regarded writer Alan Moore comics over the years together they make a coherent picture of anything and everything that could go wrong with adaptations whether that be holding the original in too much high regard and being afraid to add anything new to it or the opposite end of just not careing about the original.

I would like them to do a very very loose adaptation of parts of MTMTE that tries to get the mixture of humour, tragedy and cryptic mystery correct rather than doing it exact and have it use the types of storytelling that comics struggle with as I would love to see the legislators animated hypnotically to sinister music or a longer Overlord or DJD rampage that wouldn't have to eat through the page count.
