I know a comic has dead Starscreams from multiple timelines team up, but what is it about his spark in particular that draws him towards resurrection? Is he just a mistake?

 

My personal theory is that he's immortal because his soul is just a condensed ball of petty spite and hatred in Cybertronian form and resurrects himself solely to piss people off.

 

probably because he was to petty and persistent to die properly. I don't think there is an official G1 explanation other than it being a mutation.

 

Beast wars said he had a mutated spark that made him a ghost. An experiment to replicate that mutation resulted in Beast Wars Rampage.

G1 didn't have sparks so no explanation there. He was just a random ghost. I don't think any g1 media after sparks were invented ever explained it either.

Animated starscream kept coming back because he had a piece of allspark embedded in his skull. It's not g1, but is the only other time i can think of where a starscream resurrection was explained.

 

i pretty sure its been retconned to be an outlier spark

 

There is none, that's why BW had to come up with an explanation.
