I feel like it's pretty easy to get a CHUG-scaled figure, regardless of whether it's Hasbro or 3P.

But one character that seems to be darned impossible to obtain is a decent CHUG Shockwave.

We have Warbotron X-Ray which is Deluxe size, then Legends which is of course tiny and Masterpiece (official and 3P) is too big. If I'm honest, I feel like he should be Voyager scale.

Has a Voyager version of Shockwave completely passed me by? Is there one in the pipeline, the news of which I have also missed?

 

I've been impatiently waiting for one as well. Currently I'm using TF: Prime's Shockwave, but he still feels wrong.

 

There is a reason I own Cloud Shockwave. It's the closest we have so far.

I hope someone makes a upsized KO of the Warbotron Shockwave like they did with Grimlock.

 

A company called Second Chance is working on a Voyager scale FoC Shockwave.

 

Shockwave is the biggest hole in my classics collection.

This really needs to happen. Soundwave at least the G1 version is a decent stand in. There's not really anything you can do for Shockwave.

 

Im hoping the guys that downsized MP Optimus prime to voyager scale will do the same to Shockwave and the rest of the MP line

 

It should be easy they only need to down size from the waste up. MP Laserwave skips Legs Day.

 

Those are useless for a CHUG collector though. CHUG is updated stuff, not G1 pandering like MP.

 

What ever happened to that Mega Steel voyager Soundwave too, that looked awesome... I guess the shift to MP killed all that stuff.

I love upgrade kits too, and these days you only find that type of stuff on Shapeways....kind of a bummer.

 

Yeah I am super bummed by the seeming death of Mega Steel Soundwave.

 

Its incomprehensible that no third party company to date has put any effort into a good voyager class Shockwave or Soundwave.
That would be so much money going their way.

This is also the body he had, if I recall, at and during the end of Dark Cybertron. So I am absolutely 100% down for this.

 

Also, note that G1 Shockwave had his FOC body in the IDW comics for a while, so a FOC Shockwave is essentially an IDW G1 Shockwave.

Despite using the design in the comics, FOC Shockwave just isn't CHUG Shockwave to me. He's FOC Shockwave. Same reason why I won't use the Planet X FOC Dinobots for CHUG Dinobots.
I guess that Mastermind Creations Shockwave that was pictured up a ways was scrapped? It looks nice.

 

Found myself with the same problem as op. Took an energon shockblast, built him new arms from alternators shockblast and classics grimlock, altered the head and feet, threw some paint on and voila.

 

I collect large chug but I don't call them "my chugs."

FoC Shockwave, all intents and purposes, is IDW Shockwave. And my large chug collection centers around IDW/comic styling.

So the OS voyager KO will be mine<3

The less G1 the better.
