Not really, no. It's a sad fact. No matter what, somebody's going to feel hurt. How much and for how long is up in the air, but you don't share that much of your life with another person and not feel something when it's over. And no, there's no easy way to tell her. If there is, I haven't found it. The quick way is best.

Only time I had a breakup with no hurt feelings was when the girl wanted to break up too. Angsted for weeks on how to best do it then finally...

Why do you want to break up with her anyway? If it's not for some lame petty reason then just bring the issue up with her and tell her outright. No need to play mindgames.

I broke up with the one before my current one because she'd arranged to sell all my TF stuff while I was out of the house and then go on a shopping spree for shoes and shit with the money.

The only way is to start treating her so badly that she breaks up with you, and even then having to do so might hurt her feelings, and the treatment beforehand CERTAINLY will.

So realistically, no. But in the long run, it's better to hurt her feelings with the breakup than stay in a relationship that's not working.

Be honest, but don't go into what's "wrong" with her, don't lay blame on her, don't try and spare her feelings with hope that you'll get back together some day, etc. Just tell her that you don't feel like the relationship is working, and that you're dissolving it.

 

Unless the relationship is ended by mutual consent someone is gonna be hurt, its a sad fact.

Just end it quick and as civil as you can and not in a public place, the odds of it creating a scene neither you or her will want to be in are just too high.
