I never saw anyone from that wave, but now shelves are filling up with the next wave.

Are any people still seeing Waspinators show up on shelves? It's distressing because of the wave, I wanted not one but three figures (Waspinator, Skids, and Dreadwing) but it's seeming like I won't find them at retail.

 

I, along with many others, never had the chance to pick them up. I'm pretty sure they weren't stocked in a bunch of places due to distribution issues from the time they were supposed to hit retailers. I know BBTS said they only filled like 20% of their preorders. But apparently some people still find Waspinators and such lying around.

So all we can do is hope they're put into revision cases later, or show up in droves at clearance outlets.

 

We already know that Waspinator will be showing up in the cases with Arcee and Chromia (3x Arcee, 3x Chromia, 1x Waspinator, 1x Scoop), so odds are good that we'll see them pad out future waves.

As to why they disappeared so quickly, there's a number of theories abound, ranging from just shoddy distribution to numerous cases of the wave being stolen from the factories immediately. I feel very fortunate that I saw them three times, and two of those times I bought the ones I wanted from the wave (Sorry, Goldfire, your priority was the lowest).

 

Waspinator will be in later cases.

Dreadwing and Goldfire should be relatively easy and cheap to pick up on Ebay I would have thought but skids might be a pain unless they do another release.

You could look at getting the Japanese release of Waspinator with better paint apps on the head, but nothing has been announced regarding a japanese release of Skids though but if there is one they might fix the hips misassembly

 

They'll be everywhere when no one wants them anymore. That's always the way it goes

Seriously? Last time I checked, Waspinatorz were flowing out of my TRU.

 

I saw the wave stocked at one Walmart in early January. I got the deluxes I wanted, but never saw any of that wave anywhere since then. I never saw the voyagers (Rhinox, etc.) stocked at any retailer.

 

I only saw the wave once but I got 2/4 of them then. Sadly I still can't find Skids and Dreadwing :'(

 

They come and long gone around these parts and I never saw a single one of the wave.

Hopefully, they'll put him back in after they get through with Crosscut.

 

My walmart has one of the older waves out now.

 

I've never seen Skids yet. I've seen Goldfire and Dreadwing twice so far, but never Skids or Waspinator. Targets around here have the next wave already so not sure if I will see him.

 

Well l'll probably hafta hunt Dreadwing and Goldfire down on ebay...l wanted to hold out for the Takara Skid anyway...but yeah l never seen 'em roun' here...

 

Saw Dreadwing and Goldfire multiple times, but like others no Waspinator or Skids.

 

I don't mean to be a dick, but threads like this make me glad I order stuff online. I rarely have to worry about finding stuff in stores anymore.

But to be less of a douche, I hope you can find this guy soon. He's rather rad!  

 

This was a strange wave for sure. I did see remnants of the wave twice, but never saw a single Skids and only one Waspinator. Usually you at least see the "peg warmers" for more than two visits to a store.

But, I'm sure they'll be around again in one capacity or another.

 

Hrm, glad to hear I'm not alone (but sad to hear that other people are in the same boat).

Looks like I'm going to shell out the extra $5 and buy Dreadwing online.

I'll try to get Waspinator in a future wave and worst comes to worst I'll get Crosscut instead of Skids. I'd prefer Skids over Crosscut but I feel like he's going to have a substantial markup.

 

I'm with you.. I just preorder the whole wave. You end up paying the same and you get them early.

 

I'm pretty sure they haven't hit the shelves yet. I'm just now seeing Skywarp, Scoop, and Armada Starscream. Waspinator can't be too far behind.

I remember it took at least 5 months past the release date before TFP Shockwave, and FOC Grimlock hit the shelves in NJ. Now they're everywhere.
Waspinator will probably be the same.
