i haven't seen one....ever...i live near at least 6 WalMarts and Targets
Hopefully he'll be shelfwarming long enough to get cheap prices. I do wanna pick this guy up.
On one end, if there is no stock, its bad distribution. On the other end, if there is stock, product is shelfwarming. Somewhere in between, equilibrium.
*looks at empty isles*
None of my stores ever got him in, so I had to order him online...
RED Optimus and Megatron and Netflix Optimus Prime? They’ve been warming all three pegs designated for the RED figures for a while. And Optimus has taken over the top stock shelf and started spilling into the ever-empty Leader class spot since the Netflix section is overflowing with him:
Honestly I think it has something to do with distribution. I can’t speak for Target as there isn’t one within reasonable driving distance where I live, but out of all five Walmart’s within a 30 mile radius, all but one have been cleared out completely. The one store I know only getting in partial cases
Probably depends on the area.
It's been out for like 2 weeks tops. Everyone jumped on the first few that trickled in here, I guess more and more people are getting theirs. Eventually what's left is gonna stick around a little bit, it's just how it goes for most waves.
Remember back in the far off UT era when Energon Ironhide and then Energon Energon Ironhide and then various taped together combinations thereof numbered up to a hundred in a single Walmart? At every Walmart?
I haven't seen a true shelfwarmer in many years now.
In NC, I only ever saw him at Target. First time, there were 4, I skipped it waiting for a sale. The second time, none. The third time 1 left. I got it during a Target Sale for $38. That was 1 month ago. I haven't seen him anywhere since.
Yup. Empty pegs and shelves is not how things are supposed to be in pretty much any retail store. You're supposed to walk into a store and see full shelves all the time. Can you imagine if this happened with literally any other product at Walmart or Target. People would be freaking out. "Where's this?" or "Where's that?" "Is there some kind of shortage?"
Shelves should be stocked all the time. Then when a new wave comes in, you stock those and clearance the old ones.
It's funny how a figure simply remaining in stock appears to be shelf warming. I don't disagree with the sentiment at all, but it is a sad reminder of the current state of toy aisles.
I've seen him at almost every Target and Walmart in my area but not necessarily in massive quantities for long. The most I've seen at one store was 10 but it dwindled to 2 or 3 last I checked.
It's spotty in my area. The Walmart may have a couple yet the Target down the street will have 10, but the Target across town will have none.
or for Engergon Ironhide.
Meh. He was no Tuner Mudflap.
And the sad thing is, is that Injector and Transmetal Scavenger (another infamous Beast-era shelfwarmer) are actually really good toys. Arguably some of the best non-show-character toys in the line.
It's a shame they were such shelfwarmers, they really didn't deserve it.
It's where they give the shelves a soft, electric blanket, and warm cups of tea to stay cozy.
I still haven't seen ONE at retail. I only have the one I have because I pre-ordered.
There is is still TR and POTP shit at my Walmart
I seen a grip of em for awhile but I've seen less and less these past few weeks.
If the guys filling the shelves were smart, they'd put them out a few at a time. It makes it more desirable than if you see 20 of them because you're more likely to wait for clearance
He is at my target.
Hot Rod got repacked with BB Starscream, you might see a lot of him on Target shelves for a while.
