Just curious since I see him all the time. The local target had six of him yesterday. In general I only see he and Blurr from the SS ‘86 line in stores.

I passed on him since I use MP-08 as my Grimlock of choice, but It surprises me to see him everywhere and so little of anything else new.

I think it's more to do with distribution. Some stores got a whole encap full while others only got a case or two, or never got him all all.

It's weird to me that in 2021 we're defining a figure sitting on a shelf released 3 months ago as "shelfwarming".

This is what saturation is supposed to look like.

This. I have literally never seen one at retail, ever, but in the NY/NJ Sightings thread I see people a town or two over from me have a dozen or so at their Target.

Also this, I feel like only in the last few years I've had to start pre-ordering mainline toys or risk missing out. Exclusives are one thing but I am lucky to see any given wave more than once in a store the past few toylines.

Wait until we see the other Dinobots, you won’t be able to get him anywhere.

I bet if Slag and Swoop also came out at the same time you wouldn’t be seeing him so much, even if it’s good distribution.

I saw it shelf warming a little too, but when you see Slag you'll regret not buying two, that's all I'm saying.

Some people weren't alive during the great Injector/Transquito wars of 98-02 and it shows.

Not shelfwarming, just properly stocked in some places, under stocked in most.

Yeah. My Target has six and I've never seen him in another store outside of that.

My Walmart still has SS Scavenger and him, it’s weird to think a Dec 2019 figure is still getting stocked in April 2021. (Him and Grimlock share a case)

It’s so funny to look back on that figure all these years later. He’s really not that bad, but I hate him with every fibre of my being for being the only Mega on shelves for years at some local retailers.

It’s just interesting as I’ve not seen BW megatron, cyclonus, scourge, hot rod, or anything beyond some deluxe and core class kingdom/SS ‘86 figures OTHER than tons of Grimlocks. And maybe it just seems like “shelf warming” in comparison to the others that are near impossible to find.

    ...kinda?

Some stores got more in so they still have 2. Others got less and he is GONE

Stunning thread. Not only did I have trouble snagging him at Target, as stores sold near day of receipt (scalpers, I expect), but when I finally found two at one Target, went to get on line, and got off to get a friend the other after texting him, another customer grabbed it and got on line behind me. Didn't see me grab the first either.

The odds...well, that told me he wasn't a shelf warmer.

    MPM-10, though...

I think stock for the figure has just become more consistent. It's a shame the same couldn't be said about Overload, Scourge, and BW Megatron. If anything, it seems like the Buzzworthy line is shelfwarming big time.
