People presume he wasn't, I think, because of the lack of him being on the ship in Transform and Roll Out! But we've seen his toy! I don't think he's a one shot character. As it is, the Decepticons only have Blitzwing, Blackarachnia, Lugnut left over from the ship. Starscream is missing. Megatron is down. Lockdown... isn't really a Decepticon. It think the episode "Sound and Fury" must be Soundwave. I think Soundwave came to earth before *anyone*, just on some routine exploration. He'll be some kind of tape player or CD player or MP3 player type device at first, as the episode name suggests. But the episode description says he can also "Take control" of other objects - so I'm guessing he takes control of a van to make his "Larger body". Animated's version of Mass Shifting(though we already had the worst mass shifting ever in Meltdown, urgh.). Soundwave will then join up with the Deceps and become defacto leader until Megatron has arrived or Starscream returns. How on earth is Starscream ever going to reconcile with Megatron? I hope he becomes an anti-hero or something, on neither side, kind of like Armada but cooler. Also, I really hope he isn't all ROCK STAR. The Kamina shades worry me, but then again Prowl isn't exactly hot blooded. Guitars are one of the most useful instruments for making all kinds of random crap noises, he doesn't have to be a rocker. I hope his guitar sounds real "cyber", like it's being run through the Filter Matrix on an Electric Mistress.
Soundwave will be voiced by Jeff Bennett so I assume he'll be a regular possibly one of the main Decepticons once he shows up.
Excellent. Though the single character ep is a good way to get more less popular characters out of the way(like maybe Arcee, though I think she'll be back, and Wreck-Gar) Soundwave needs to recurr.
Hmm as much as I would love to see Soundwave to appear in 'Sound and Fury' I think it might be slightly out of the ordinary. Since he's not in the opening credits and there isn't a lot of information about him. Not to mention that the synopsis of the episode doesn't really hint that it's Soundwave... Also future episode synopsis' do not mention there being any existence of Soundwave. I'm thinking that he's a Season 2 character. Who knows, though I'm sure his entrance will be big.
I just hope he doesn't end up as a one-shot, like his Cybertron version. It was nice to see him again in any form, but I was hoping for more appearances. Maybe TF:A will come through for me.
yeah i agree with kickback but i dont think Soundwave will be a one shot deal. Def see the guitar being ravage or lazerbeak or even buzzsaw
I think what will be interesting to see is if he speaks in the same style as his G1 incarnation did (voice modulator and all). Grimlock still has his speech quirk, so obviously it's not impossible.
