It's not strange for a Transformers character to not get a toy, but I think one has been severely neglected. Our fem-seeker Slipstream.

Since the character has been around since TFA and not had a figure (TFCC, of course is being kind enough) is it unlikely she'll never get a Hasbro release, in Classics (or Generations), or in FoC's toyline? Seeing how they did completely new characters like Airachnid and Ripclaw, I think it's unlikely.

    Just a curious question.

She might have been part of the discontinued season 4 line of animated with hot shot and triple changer megatron.

she was in animated at the tail end and wasn't really very important... and she was in WFC as DLC. not much exposure, at least not enough for a totally new mold.

She is an extremely young and extremely rare character. She only has two versions of her character, one of which was dlc. But given that, she is a very popular character. So I do expect her at some point.

She would present a major Tooling problem. Hasbro would either have to dedicate a Mold specifically for her figure or figure out how to tool the normal Seeker torsos so they can look femenine. The Normal seekers work because a Masculine Body shape is somewhat easy to make out of a Jet. Not that I'm saying Slipstream would be impossible to make, I'm certain PRID starscream could be easily turned into slipstream.

You unlocked Slipstream in WFC in-game, she wasn't DLC.

Oh yeah, she wasn't dlc. I forgot. Either way she was a cameo at best.

Very likely, as we know we're getting one from the TFP FE Starscream mold.

Hopefully she shows up in the TF Prime show but it's unlikely. Until her character has a prominent role in some sort of supporting media, I doubt she'll get a mainline figure at normal retail.

If you think this is unfair, then what about Alpha Trion?

Fear not, fan favorite Bumblebee will have 9287 new toys in the next line instead.

Could very well be true - I was more under the impression that they tried to convince you that "no, you don't want that figure, you want a bumblebee" instead, but yes - you might just be on to something.

Hahaha, you are right. They would give us a Slipstream. She'd just be yellow with black stripes. And a car. And named Slipstream Bumblebee. And have stupid graphics resembling a stream.

I'm actually surprised TFCC is doing it. Slipstream has only appeared in Animated, and as a multiplayer model in WFC. That's it. And even in Animated she didn't have that many episodes.

I'm sure she will get a mass release toy eventually - if only she will keep being used in future Transformers installments. But is she really all that interesting? She's a fun idea, a female Starscream clone, but she's also a Seeker in a pretty long list of Seekers.

Bee jokes aside, another factor working against Slipstream is the fact that she's a female character, and Hasbro has this notion that girl toys won't sell well (unless she's a major character on the show). Even then, expect any theoretical figure of her to be only one per case, making her rare and difficult to find (thanks to crap distribution, rabid collectors, and ruthless scalpers). So no, I wouldn't hold my breath for a toy of her. Then again, Hasbro is set to release Rip-Claw, a female Predacon in Wave 2 of the Beast Hunters line, so I guess anything is possible.

Oh don't forget 3rd party. I actually now suspect our salvation will be found in 3rd party figures.
