..the rotf toys have popped up in john lewis and they have bunch but i wanted to get voyager prime but didn't know if he is any good,so can anyone tell me if he is a decent figure?

 

I think Voyager Prime is just a repaint from the previous movie. If you liked that mode and you dig the new Chinese character paint deco, then this one should be right up your alley.

You'll get more info in the Feedback Forum...but as for me I'm not a fan of the Voyager Prime mold at all.

 

The voyager Optimus does not have accurate transformation. The windshield you see on the robot is not the same windshield used for the truck mode. There are 2 different windshields in voyager Prime. Just get the Leader Optimus.

 

Voyager Prime is awesome. If you don't mind the truck backpack and the some inaccurate colors, you'll love him.

 

i don't mind either of those so i guess i'll have to get him sometime this week.

 

if u plan to play with him the voyager Optimus Prime is the better choice since
he is definetly easier to transform and his limbs dont twist too much.
Especially about size it looks totally wrong when leader class OP fights against
Blackout or Bonecrusher who are much smaller as toys.
But as a display figure the leader class Optimus Prime rules!

 

I have the robovision one from last movie and it is a ton of fun to play with. The only other proble I have with him is that his missles tend to pop in truck mode but they can't go anywhere so I guess it ok

 

Don't get me wrong it's not a bad figure, the paint is ok and the backpack didn't bother me that much. But when you compare him to the Leader clas toy they are in very different leagues.

Probably true, but then the V'ger is $20 cheaper. The Voyager has those neat transforming cannons.

 

Yes, but the Leader is basically a 45 buck Masterpiece figure with a great design, articulation, transformation and duel swords.

 

I would pass on the Voyager it has a really bad head and shape. Oh and his chest windows are yellow which sucks.

 

the figure's just..ok i guess... like heres what i think

Good:
-has 2 firing guns- that's always fun
-front looks nice
-has that little "driver" in vehicle mode
-decent posablity
-light piping in eyes is nice

Bad:
-inaccurate movie design-junk in the trunk- truck cab backpack looks pretty bad
-truck mode is different from the movie truck
-can fall apart pretty easily if you don't take care of it
-"automorph" feature can be a bit junky
-occasionally joints could get loose

personally, I'd recommend saving your money for the leader rotf optimus because that one is the most MOVIE accurate and it has that awesome sword gimmick to boot. =] not to mention it combines with jetfire too. but if you're on a budget its not a bad choice..

 

I have three or four versions of this mold and I love every one of them!  

 

i hate the movie voyager prime mold.. dont get it, get the leader

 

I wasn't sure about him and the so-so reviews didn't help my decision but when they went on sale at TRU for $17.99 and they never put out a Fallen I bought Prime and I'm glad I did. The paint amps aren't movie accurate but he is a sweet figure. I have movie 1 leader Prime and have plans to pick up the new Leader Prime also but this one is a cool addition. Basically if you want 100% accuracy get the leader, if you just want a really cool OP get the voyager you won't be dissapointed.
