Watching this weeks episode, I dont think prime can be classed as a kids show anymore . This episode was really dark the hole atmosphere of the show has changed alot since season 1 and Im wondering do you think we could see a rating change next season? Those of you who are parents here how are the young ones finding the show? are they getting scared often? Im not a parent my self just sharing my thoughts.

Technically it was never a 'kid's show', the show was always aimed to target kids, teens and adults, so yeah. But no, I don't think it's gotten any worse in terms of violence. So, Dreadwing got shot through his chest--...what about Megatron beheading the insecticon and Breakdown getting ripped to shreds--or Cliffjumper in the FIRST ep. Prime is where it's always been IMO and in terms of kids tv vs 'older' televisioin, there's much worse out there

You mean like the "hole" in Dreadwing's torso? :lol

No, it's not too dark. I watched it with my 9 year old daughter all the time. It's not like this is American Horror Story, or anything.

Nope, I think the series is fine for kids...they've seen much darker in the real world. They know it's a cartoon...fiction.

Seen a couple folks having trouble with whole/hole today.

Whole--all of something, entire, full, total

Hole---that round thing that was in the center of Dreadwing's torso. Aww..

    :lol

The show has always shown it was geared to be more mature and not "kiddie". I'm glad. I love this series. Too bad for all the haters and whiners. :lol

Young Justice is darker, but kids don't have a problem with that show either.

Adults seem to have a problem with the darkest and time jump, but the kids love it.

Well, I am a parent of a seven year old boy who loves the show more now than when it started. So, no I don't think it's getting too mature for kids.

I agree if there any is any "kid's show" that could be considered too dark for kids, it would be the Clone Wars in my opinion.

Personally I don't see a problem with Prime for kids, it seems like a well balanced show that tailors to both sides of the Transformers demographic.

Besides, the jokes and comedy is enough to balanced out the chest shots and decapitations :p  Starscream and Knockout sword fighting with the keys even got a chuckle out of me.

Wow. Dreadwing's demise seems to have made everyone's sense of humor get a bit more cynical. I like it.

But, honestly, this show actually bores my niece. She's seen much worse in the real world. Yeah, we live in the 'ghetto'.

Don't forget Legend of Korra while not too dark has some things in it that are pretty dark.

So Bulkhead ripping out some poor Vehicon's innards is totally OK for kids, but a clean hole straight thru Dreadwing is suddenly a problem?

I mean, the show is definitely geared for older kids, but that was obvious from the start. Heck, there was a gruesome murder within 5 minutes of the premier! This isn't some sudden change in direction.
