I would like to first state that I am not bashing Prime. Seeing the other opposite thread, the answers were against it being the best, so i wanted to see if they thought it was the worst.

I don't think it's the worst, but it certainly has it's problems.

 

It's not worse than the Unicron Trilogy, but it's kinda poor.

 

Unicron Trilogy is the worst. Prime is bad but not that bad.

While the writing is not the best cartoon writing on TV right now, it's still far from the worst. Even in the list of Transformers shows over the years Transformers Prime can still beat the stories and characters from some other Transformers series.

Although I think the animation style was a bad choice because it is far too limiting. The show can go somewhere like New York City and only one person lives there because the budget will not allow for more people.

 

Energon was easily the worst, probably followed by Armada. I though Cybertron was OK.

PRIME isn't the worst, but it's far from the best.

 

It's not as bad as some other series that has happened. There's Unicron Triology, Armarda, I didn't mind Cybertron, but Prime isn't the worst written.

 

While I think the CG effects and bot designs are great, that is a very good point. They could do a lot more with traditional animation. They have it where it counts though graphically, great bot designs and battle sequences.

This is really the only Transformers show I have watched. I saw a little bit of the original cartoon and the movie, but from what I have seen Prime beats it easily. I think it is solidly written, not the best show I have seen by any means but far from being the worst.

Writing is a lot different from plotting. It's not the worst-written, but it's absolutely the worst-plotted.

 

Prime's a pretty decent show as far as kid's shows go, and compared to the vast majority of TF shows (The UT, G1, BM, RID and hell, even the movieverse) it's pretty damn good. When you put it up against stuff like Avatar, Digimon Tamers, or TFA and BW, however, it falls short pretty fast.

The only thing keeping it from overthrowing energon (another show famous for being nothing but wasted potential) is the strong character writing. Just a shame those writers have no idea how to write a compelling story.

Once again the internet, and Prime forum members particularily, have absolutely no concept of the in between. It's either best ever or worst ever. One extreme or another. Just because show has few redeeming qualities and is far from the best animated show ever does not make it worst.

I mean, try applying that mindset to something like driving. Either pedal to the metal or dead stop. I don't get it.

No, by the way. I'd certainly rank it at the bottom for tf shows, but not of any animated show ever.

 

Not in an age where Transformers: Energon exists, it isn't.


And you'd have to dig down through several strata of other, increasingly odious animated shows before you got to "worst".

 

The Unicron Trilogy was the dark ages of TFs animation.

 

It's pure and utter meh, just meh, it exists, I acknowledge it, I watch, I have no strong feelings towards it, it's toys, and games. It's just meh to me.
