I mean, I don't have Airachnid, but as far as I can tell that toy can barely function. Moonracer's not great, but you can at least do stuff with her.

 

I don't have Moonracer, but looking at in hand pics/reviews, she can do a lot of poses besides "standing up"
Airachnid (which I have) can't. So, no. Airachnid still worse.

I think Airachnid is worse. Moonracer has the backpack and balance issues because of it, but Airachnid has:

Several joints with limited articulation (and no obvious reason they should be so)
Uninteresting yet annoying transformation
Arms made out of flat panels, with flat hands bolted on, with holes through the palms.

When a deluxe toy is outclassed in many ways by its own legion-class version, and BEN YEE gives it a bad review, the bad reputation might be justified.

No. This is the worst Transformer ever made. And it isn't even close.



A wtf-am-I-looking-at Robot mode with terrible colors.
A transformation that is beyond awful.

This toy never should have existed. At any level. It's the incarnation of everything that can go wrong with a transformer. It makes Airachnid look like MP-10.

 

I voted for Moonracer on accident because I didn't read the poll and for some reason thought it said "Which is better".

Posting to confirm that Airachnid is the worst deluxe possibly ever. Moonracer is inoffensive and fun.

 

Look, I'm one of the only people on Earth that actually likes Airachnid, so much so that I bought 2 to give 1 a set of bladed weapons.

That said, Moonracer is leaps and bounds the better toy, there's no contest.

 

Airachnid is the worst figure among the two.

Both of them has massive vehicle kibble at their back which doesn't look good. However, Moonracer can be posed in different ways and be used as combiner limb with the other CW/POTP voyager figures to form a bigger robot. Airachnid as a figure can't even do anything else aside from just standing there and look "nice".

 

I sure as hell hope not. I just ordered a Moonracer and she'll be here Thursday.

To my knowledge, Prime Airachnid was a non-functional pile of utter garbage.

 

Moonracer at least has functional hands and, as unappealing as her alt mode kibble may be, it doesn't hinder her articulation in robot mode.

 

Mixmaster you just need to fiddle with until you can pull of some neat poses

But, yeah, Moonracer's problem is she was designed off a character sheet from a cartoon show where she was not intended to transform at all. For that background, Moonracer's fine

Airachnid's inexcusable given she was a main villain, and also due to how the Legends figure pulled it off better

 

I really like moonracer. I barely tolerate Airachnid

 

I don't have Airachnid, but given how thoroughly her issues have been covered by now, I think I can safely say she's total garbo.
Moonracer does kinda suffer from the Combiner gimmick but is otherwise a fully functional TF toy with actual articulation, and a great headsculpt and deco. Yeah, her backpack is massive and it makes her back-heavy, but it's really not hard to get her to stand or posed without toppling backwards, and the calf kibble I don't mind at all.

 

the biggest problem i have with Moonracer is that her bot mode arms are way too visible in vehicle mode

 

For supposedly being such a lousy toy, it sure was impossible to find Airachnid out here. Or just about anything else from TF Prime for that matter...

The moonracer figure isn't the greatest, but it's not anywhere near as bad as the travesty that is airachnid.
